Well I didn't get redundancy
Don't earn enough I guess. I wasn't expecting to get it but I still feel pretty down- after the way I've been treated over the last 18 months after the work I've put in for 6 years, I just feel like I'm owed something! I know people are probably rolling their eyes at that and I might get some lurker coming on and saying 'the world doesn't owe you a living young lady' but i just see people around me not working nearly as hard, having time off all the time etc etc, I just always feel like its me who gets the raw deal.
But, no use moping. I'll get my bursary and fees loan and I'll prob get something for living costs too so ill be fine money wise, the redundancy would just have been a nice nest egg in case I couldn't get a job or whatever. And a nice two fingers up at the company. Oh well.
I will not eat because I feel down. I will not eat because I feel down. Ad infinitumWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Ahh Tete sorry you didn't get redundancy. Glad that you'll still be okay money wise though.
Just think you are leaving soon so stuff them. They'll soon realise how hard you worked!!Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Thanks Star,I know, at least I have a way out either way. Them realising how hard I worked after I leave isn't much use to me though! Actually makes me wonder if they spoke to my line manager in a "can you do without her?" sort of way... Never mind, onwards and upwards!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

No I suppose not but it is quite funny in an evil kind of wayyou will be in your new job loving it and your manager will be sitting there thinking "oh sh*t!" As the realisation finally hits home!

Sorry about the redundancy situation
I cracked and called Uni2 at lunchtime and they will apparently be sending out decisions next week, so my fingers are resting from the incessant checking of emails until then0 -

Thanks all, feeling a lot better about things after the weekend - just felt like a bit of a kick in the teeth to come home to that on a Friday evening! At least I wasn't relying on that money to get me through the course - that's the main thing (although I did have it earmarked as house deposit for afterwards but never mind - I'll just have to save up like everyone else
). I can start planning leaving date etc anyway now I know.
Had a lovely weekend meeting up with some of the girls from Dinah's thread in York on Saturday. Such a strange feeling to be chatting away to people you've never met/only met a few times like old friends. We had a fab day and I really felt my batteries were recharged afterwards. Then on Sunday I got up and managed to run my first ever 12 miles without stopping - my last long run before the Edinburgh Half Marathon in two weeks. I'm a little bit stiff this morning but not too bad at all - feeling good about it all!
Argh Kitty, keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you - this waiting is inhumane!! x
Ooh - almost forgot to say - I lost 4 3/4 lbs in my first week back on the weightloss wagon! Over the moon with it, feel so much better already, less bloated, less lethargicWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Very exciting news................I'M GOING TO UNI2
The offer came through this evening, just as I was out with a chum moaning that I wish they'd pull their s*dding finger out and put me out of my misery and when I got home, I decided to check my emails for one last time today........so glad I did!!0 -
