Wow it sounds pretty full-on Kitty but you also sound v relaxed about it
Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
Hope everyome's well this morning. I stayed up late last night finishing a crochet blanket (more of a throw if I'm honest) that's been on the go for about a year. It's done and I'm pleased with it! Since I finished my scarves which were also a long time in the making at the beginning of April, this means I am officially Between Projects for once which is a nice feeling - there aren't a million WiPs jostling for attention in the back of my mind!
Going to spend the next few days organising the admin side of my life before getting stuck in to my next project. Must dash, a billion things to do at work this weekWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Augh, even when the weekends are three days long they're way too short amirite? I didn't get as much personal adminny stuff done as I wanted to as it was so sunny it seemed a shame to be stuck indoors. I did take advantage of the weather and got a huge backlog of laundry done so my drawers are all at bursting point.
Sadly, my other 'drawers' are also at bursting point. I knew I was feeling heavy and bloated and slothful and bravely got on the scales yesterday to confirm suspicions that I'm the biggest I've ever been by about 4lbsWhen I was going through the teaching application and interview process I was eating chocolate and so on as a reward for a stressful day etc and have got into that habit even though things are pretty plain sailing at the moment. I feel like one of those people who's always starting a new diet at the moment. I know I keep saying "New start!" on here and then floundering after (at most) a week. I've tried a couple of faddy diets (5:2 and Harcombe) but found neither sustainable so I'm back to the tried and tested My Fitness Pal (if anyone's still on there let me know your username - I pared down my account a while ago and deleted all my friends from it). There was a lot about Harcombe that I liked though I have to say - the idea of clean eating, and not eating diet foods - it all makes sense. But I do love my sugar and I certainly didn't want to go as far as making myself intolerant to sugar, wheat and milk. So back to calorie counting, but with the emphasis on filling up on fruity snacks rather than ryvita and so on. I have a weekend in London with my skinny friends in six weeks and would love to have dropped 10lbs by then ... that will *just* take me below the 11st mark  [/ramble]
KITTY! Any news???Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
No news
It's been a whole WEEK now (ok with a bank holiday weekend
) I'm wearing the buttons out on my phone checking my email constantly (have a second account for teaching stuff so it doesn't flash up automatically when I have an email.....).
But in better news, I have an appointment for the new QTS trial, only maths so far, hopefully English will come through as well - £150 each is not to be sniffed at! (especially with my finances.....).
Good luck with the healthy eating, every day is a new start for me *sigh* I think I need to go back to a food replacement diet as I'm so rubbish at controlling what I eat
The bank holiday was fabulous, lovely sunshine - DD and I played in our new paddling pool most of the day yesterday, and went out to fun places and saw chums as well.0 -

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Kitty, I'm sure they'll be in touch this week
I registered my interest for the QTS trial thing yesterday - annoyingly the email came on Friday evening and I didn't check them all over the bank holiday weekend so only replied about four days laterFingers crossed I get one though because I definitely can't find my GCSE certificates and they cost more than I thought - £40 EACH rather than for the full set - so a good £120 for the English, Maths and Science ones I need  You can get a statement of results sent to a third party (ie the college) for £20ish, but they would keep that so I'm thinking it's probably better to get the certificates in case I need them in future? Am I likely to need them again?!
I turned the house absolutely upside down last night looking for them and I have everything but: UCAS application from 2000, GCSE mock exams from 1997, coursework, A-level history essays on Stalin, CDT projects involving a fish jumping out of water using a cam mechanism... I could give them pretty much all secondary school and sixth form work from 1993-2000 to assess my level ... but do I boogery have the certificates to show for it all?! Gah.
Will go and find you now DinahGot through Day1 and it was OK, I kept to my cal goal - was so busy searching last night I didn't even think about food!

I'd pay the £40, despite having a degree and a masters degree when I got my job with the council they demanded all my gcse and a-level certificates - even though they merrily agreed with me I wouldn't have gotten on my degree if I didn't have them (and also that in light of having a degree they were completely irrelevant!)Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Yeah that's my gut feeling - especially going into teaching I imagine I'll need them again. Although I seem to have got through life OK without them so far! Gah!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Lol - when I got a job with a certain council in Scotland they didn't demand one cert and I was the one that applied for my own Enhanced Disclosure!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Well I've sorted everything for my replacement thingy and sent it off. If I've read it correctly I only need to make one payment of £41.70 and they'll send me a statement of all my results from that summer - fingers crossed I've read it right because I don't want to delay it!
I also had an email back about the QTS Skills testing so I've sent off my preferred dates and centres. The closest one to me wasn't available but I don't mind travelling a bit for £150! So fingers crossed for that as well.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Luckily in my day
of O levels I only had one examining body and I had to get a replacement certificate for my application (I had to take all my docs to both my interviews) so it cost £35 and came through really quickly. Hope yours will too!
Still no news, I've just checked GTTR for the gazillionth time today....0
