Urgh, work has been horrible busy and I've had people crying down the phone at me left, right and centre (always do when it's time for them to submit some work smiley-rolleyes010.gif - good practice for teaching I guess), and I'm full of cold.

Decided to give my short run a miss this morning as I didn't want to make myself worse for my long run tomorrow, but this made me have my first running anxiety dream last night in which I took a wrong turn in the middle of the Edinburgh Half and ended up back at the start

Now, I have the weekend 'off' in theory apart from usual visit to Gran and Sunday run, plus a visit to friend and new baby. Trying to make today v productive so that tomorrow can be a bit more relaxed. However, haven't managed to get any of the crafty stuff done that I wanted to last week because I could never be bothered to tidy up. Tidiness is key I think, once things are organised you feel more able to do other things. Weekend list:-

    Sat-
    - Tidy up!!
    - Sort through paperwork mountain
    - Look at ISAs, current rate, how much allowance left before April, etc.
    - Go to bank
    - Make 1 taggie
    - Finish knitting 1 scarf so Gran can help me cast off
    - Wrap presents
    - Sort PayPal account since card expired
    - Make batch(es) of soup
    - Sort some stuff to ebay!!
    - Take blog pics

    Sun-
    - Run
    - Visit K
    - Make a POA re. teaching applications
    - Look at severance procedure
    - Sew buttons and mending
    - Make 2 more taggies
    - Finish knitting second scarf
    - Blog post 1
    - Blog post 2

    Mon-
    - Join running club - have to do this in person on Monday

Progress is decidedly slow when you keep having to stop for a sneeze every two minutes :o

Hi Beccie! - They're just little comforter things, with ribbons sewn round the edge - babies apparently love playing with the little loops? We'll see if they were a hit in a few months' time I guess!

EDIT - cross posted again! Yeah it's been brilliant so far and I'd really feel I'm making headway if only work didn't come in faster than I can deal with it :o

I can't believe someone has made a company around the idea of adding satin ribbons to stuff! :p They've got a point though, my favourite toy as a baby was a bear with a satin tag on his leg. I'd stick my finger through the loop and rub his leg, surprisingly soothing. :)

Might have to employ that 15 minute rule today... can't seem to get started at all! :o
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Same Birdie, I had a big fluffy brown blanket with a bear on (still got it actually :D) and I always had the corner with the satin tag up near my hands so I could rub it. There's some anger on Etsy etc about the Taggies company actually (I found out about it when I was looking for a tutorial) - apparently mums/seamstresses have been making/selling these taggy blankets/comforters for years but now this company has copyrighted the name and if you list anything of that ilk on Etsy they take it down and you get into trouble. *rolls eyes at the ridiculousness of the modern world*

Aww babies love those taggy things. Poppy has a bunny (well two as i got a spare). Its a square thing with knots in the legs and arms. She always sleeps with them, so cute!

Hope the day improves for you.
