Hope the run does the trick!

Did you manage to get out last night Beccie? I did just over 5 miles in some pretty horrendous weather so was pleased with that. It was so hard not to dive into a box of Maltesers when I got home though - made do with my plate of roast beef, veg and brown rice.
So I made it though Day 1 of Harcombe with only a slight headache in the afternoon. I did fall into bed at about 9pm though ... and woke up a couple of times in a bit of a cold sweat. Thought I must be getting a cold or something but I'm OK now so I wonder if it was caffeine cold turkey? Haha, sounds a bit dramatic doesn't it?
We have snow here again, but again not enough to warrant a duvet day. Gah!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I did 3.5 miles and twisted my foot in a pot-hole so a bit of a fail really
Well done for 5 miles in bad weather :T
The first few days of Harcombe do make you feel a bit rough and tired, not only from the lack of caffeine but the de-tox from sugar etc. It's worth perservering though, you feel pretty good a week or so into it.
It's bright sunshine here and I still want a duvet dayDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
I do feel a bit funny when i don't have caffeine for a while.
Well done on day 1 completed.0 -
Same Beccie, we ran some quite badly lit routes and I was twisting my ankles all over the place, come to think of it that's probably why my leg hurts, I've maybe pulled it a bit. We are mad!!
It's funny because I never really thought caffeine affected me - I can drink proper coffee at night and not have any trouble sleeping - maybe I'm just VERY used to it?!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I'm the same - could drink an espresso and go straight to sleep. Which probably means we're immune to it cause we have too muchDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0

Hello, can't weigh in (excuse the pun!) on diets as I'm rubbish at them
but I've had my interview and at the time I thought it was great but within about 10 minutes the self-doubt kicked in and I'm feeling shattered by it all!!
Oh well, up to a month now to wait to find out if I've been successful or not......0 -
Ahh Kitty, I was thinking about you last night when I realised what day it was(!) - I was exactly the same, thought it had gone OK, but as soon as you have time to think you start thinking of all the little things you could have said or done... but everyone's the same surely? I'm sure you'll be fine though, you seem to really know your stuff more than I do - let me know when you hear! x
Had a sneaky go on the scales this morning (shouldn't have after only two days I know) but luckily I've lost a pound so far so that should keep me on the straight and narrow. My headache seems to have subsided a bit this morning to be replaced with ladypains which is ace. No wonder my sugar cravings were strong the last couple of days!

You've inspired me back onto my diet band wagon of my own. Not on harcombe as can't afford stage 2 on the protein meals, and all carb makes me feel tired, hungry and grouchy. Plus after stage 1 I solidly gained 2lb a week! But I've been really bad the last week and I need to get back to watching what I eat as I've done pretty well since November and I don't want to give up when I'm over halfway there.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I downloaded the Harcombe book Tete, but I think I got the 'wrong' one, I should have gone for the 'Stop counting calories...' one I think but I went for 'Why do you overeat?' because it looked more interesting
I think it does still have the info in but not in so much detail. I tried to get stuck in last night but was so super tired after work I couldn't concentrate. Am kind of winging it with my own made-up low carb thing in the meantime! Will try again tonight. I only want to lose about a stone - maybe a bit less - but have been eating so much junk while we moved house, so that has made it easier in a way as I'm fed up of naughty food and craving vegetables!
