Well it's been a while since I updated here hasn't it? I've felt a little bit in limbo waiting to hear the outcome of my application - it seems AGES since I submitted it, but obviously it hasn't been that many working days (and even fewer school working days) due to Christmas.
Anyway. I just missed a call on my mobile and casually listened to the voicemail in the middle of the office - it was a lady inviting me to interview! So that was pretty intense having to hear that and not react in any way ... ("Oh GOD I'm so sick of these personal injury calls, where DO they get my number?!").
Snuck out and called her back - it's an interview 'day' (sounds ominous already) on the 30th and I'll be emailed my interview pack on the 23rd with all the info I need and things to prepare (ominouser and ominouser!!) But still - yay! It's the next step!
I met up with a long-lost friend on Saturday - she's halfway through her primary NQT year and she was telling me all about the challenges and the rewards - made me eager to get moving with it all so I'm chuffed now but nervous obvs - worried I'll be expected to know a lot about education policy and framework and so on  - but friend said to get in touch when I have an interview so I'll do just that! Eep am feeling relieved and giddy and scared witless all at once!
