Amazon One Day Delivery

Hello.

I ordered something from Amazon yesterday (just a video game for my DH) and paid for One Day Delivery which Amazon said would be guaranteed delivery today.

The parcel hasn't arrived yet.

I was wondering up until what time I can expect the parcel to arrive? And also which company will be delivering it? Is it RM?

I assume you've had your dispatch note? It says on the website one day delivery means one day after dispatch, so if you ordered late last night it wouldn't come till Tuesday, as it won't be dispatched till today (and Monday is a bank holiday).

It also says they use a variety of carriers, they usually say which one they've used in the dispatch email? I would guess that if it's a courier then it would probably be 6pm at the latest (but that is a very wild guess).

Courier I would think - I have had parcels delivered at 7pm by an Amazon courier on a Saturday.

I would email amazon or the seller asap for a tracking or update as Monday is bank holiday, and you are going to have to wait till Tuesday, and considering you paid for one day delivery, you want it as urgently as possible.

Yep. Ordered at noon yesterday and got dispatch email at 3PM.

Just seen that it says Royal Mail so not sure what time to expect it!

Thanks. I'll do that.

I ordered it for One Day Delivery because my DH has a tendency to get extremely bored over bank holidays and it would give him something to do!

Kind of defeats the point if it comes on Tuesday!

I'd have expected it by now with RM, but I guess it depends where you live....is there any tracking info?

Also very stupid question but have you checked by your door - because it's happened to me before - sat in another room waiting for the doorbell to ring to find at the end of the day the naughty postman has put it through the letterbox without bothering to get a signature, and it's just been sat on my mat all day!

Totally, if it doesnt come until Tuesday, maybe try and open a claim with the seller or amazon and request the difference back on the money you spent to have it delivered within one day.

The post office is usually open till 5:30pm, you ordered at noon, plenty of time to comply with a one day delivery service, they also sent dispatch email at 3pm so technically they have sent it. At the right time, and its guarenteed delivery within one day. If it was only going to be delivered Tuesday, you could have paid Royal Mail standard and it would have been cheaper for you.

No tracking info at all.

Yep. Checked. Made sure there isn't a note in the door or that it's outside the door too.

Assuming it was sent special delivery, according to Royal Mail website all special delivery packages are aimed to be delivered by 1pm. (Although it does usually cost extra for guaranteed Saturday delivery...although you would think Amazon would have done that?)

I would contact Amazon like Samuel suggests, because there should be a tracking number for it somewhere.
