Totally, if it doesnt come until Tuesday, maybe try and open a claim with the seller or amazon and request the difference back on the money you spent to have it delivered within one day.

The post office is usually open till 5:30pm, you ordered at noon, plenty of time to comply with a one day delivery service, they also sent dispatch email at 3pm so technically they have sent it. At the right time, and its guarenteed delivery within one day. If it was only going to be delivered Tuesday, you could have paid Royal Mail standard and it would have been cheaper for you.

I just spoke to someone on Amazon Live Chat and they said that the parcel is showing as still in transit and to wait until the end of the business day, but that because the parcel was dispatched via a non-trackable method, that delivery cannot be guaranteed for today.

I asked if I would be eligible for a refund if the parcel doesn't arrive and the advisor said yes and that he would make a note on my account. Still annoying if it doesn't turn up until Tuesday though!

Assuming it was sent special delivery, according to Royal Mail website all special delivery packages are aimed to be delivered by 1pm. (Although it does usually cost extra for guaranteed Saturday delivery...although you would think Amazon would have done that?)

I would contact Amazon like Samuel suggests, because there should be a tracking number for it somewhere.

As I understood it, Express delivery is for guaranteed by 1PM and One Day Delivery is for anytime, but I'm not sure. :S

I paid £5.99 for One Day Delivery guaranteed for today.

Normally I wouldn't have bothered but I'm really ill at the moment so can't entertain my DH and he gets bored really easily so wanted something to keep him occupied over the Bank Holiday weekend. :p

How can it be showing as 'in transit' if it was sent 'non-tracked' :rotfl:

If they've just sent it first class and hoped for the best I would complain even if it does arrive today...you've paid extra for a service and sending it non-tracked isn't really good enough imo.

Non Trackable for one day delivery? Ridiculous.

If its royal mail, it would have been special delivery next day, And anyone else it would have been a courier. Both provide tracking. Might be trying to hide their incompetence.

    Exactly! Very odd!

If I wanted to take a a gamble with when it would arrive, then I would have just done first class!

Both DH and I have actually noticed that when opting for first class, things are taking about a week to be dispatched though. Things used to be dispatched quite quickly but that hasn't been the case lately.:o

    It wouldn't surprise me. :(

I would seriously claim for the cost to be refunded, and maybe some compensation. if they cant make good on a promise, then thats their problem, and like the above poster said, its in transit but they have no tracking? Shambles.

been seen before that Amazon were using 1st class with the Prime 1 day delivery.
If theres no tracking in the OPs Amazon account then its 99.9% that thats what they have done

It's just ridiculous. We've been waiting in for it all day, just incase it needed a signature. :(

I don't see how they can see that it's in transit but there not be any tracking for it.

I gave up paying for it too after this happened to me. I normally like Amazon as a buyer and seller but this is something I know to avoid.

It's the first time I've used the One Day Delivery service. Normally I do Express delivery. I'm not entirely sure why I didn't this time! I'll know not to use One Day Delivery again. :(
