Morning everyone. Washing is on, Cooper has been walked and fed and now it's coffee time :D Only plans for today are to clear out the conservatory, we're going to be brutal and get rid of anything that isn't used/wanted, DH is better at that than I am, I hate throwing anything away :(

Hope everyone has some luck today x

Update on The Times current £500 Net-A-Porter comp - the entry link has now been updated and you can enter daily.

This is the opposite of what they told me yesterday, so apologies for misleading everyone!

Perhaps my enquiry made them notice it was wrong...
  • Ooh chocolate pictures, I like! Yesterday I bought some of the new Cadburys biscuit chocolate and then came home to find the postman had brought my Lindt bar I won. Maaaaaybe overdid the choc a bit yesterday. :rotfl:

Hope everyone is having a nice day xx

    Hiya everyone!

Hugs and kisses to those that need them

I am so annoyed and very frustrated right now as you may know Alice was due to be discharged today

yesterday I was told by the ward nurse that our social worker had been trying to contact me to arrange for the times of Alice's carers so I phoned his office only to find that he was out of his office until tomorrow morning

I then went back home to check my telephone logging system (all calls are logged and saved to the computer) only to find that he hadn't tried to call me at all

I went to see him personally this morning, and was kept waiting nearly 20 minutes as he was on the phone, to arrange the carers times and he duly noted the times and then said to my shock and horror that as the care assessment had only just taken place that they would need some time to put the care package in to place and that Alice's discharge wouldn't take place today as previously planned :(

I can't believe that this has happened as we had already discussed what care package would be needed on a previous occasion and nothing has changed since then

I asked how long? he said 1-2 days but that the worst case scenario could be some time next week

How can they do this to us?

Alice was so happy and excited when I told her that she would be home today,

they have had a full week since the hospital announced on the 12/09/2012 that discharge was to take place on the 19/09/2012 to do an assessment and put a full care package into place but for whatever reason have failed to do so

I'm dreading having to go up to the hospital this afternoon to tell Alice that she is going to have to stay in hospital a bit longer as I know she will be very upset and distressed

I'm just hoping for some good news soon as I don't feel that I can take much more of this as everything is now back in limbo again

maybe the NHS would be a better place for everyone if all of the politicians and local councilors where forced to use the NHS instead of getting private health care then as David Cameron once said "we would all be in it together"

Rant over! thank you for listening

    orff to the hospital now

    Best of Luck :)
  • Oh no sorry to hear that Amilucky. Really hope it isnt too much longer for you or Alice.
