Sorry - just read this thread and wanted to ask if you were even sure they were a company?? Could it simply not be an individual (s) trading as CIS Leads??

    hi Catti,
it might be a simple individual just that given the phone calls, agent on site, letters, etc makes us believe that there are more people involved. Presuming that there's just one person, would that change anything?
    regards,
  • Hi Admin.
Sorry to hear about your problem, I'm also surprised. We have had dealings with the West Midlands region for 3 years with out any problems.
I know the fee stucture up here, and there is no facility for a £200 fee, (it maybe different in your region, but I doubt it) which leads to the question as to whom did you make your cheque payable, not the agent I hope?
We haven't had cause to deal with the main office, but their agent Tony Williams touches base with us from time to time. If you pm me I'll give you his phone number if that helps.

    Hi SteveO,
I take it that you know these guys? The cheque was payable to CIS Leads.
  • yes, we've had a business association (via T.W) with them since March 2005. Other than the regular info packs and the odd call from T.W. usually around renewal time (lol), we don't have any other communication.
Since offering his phone number I've just spoken to T.W. to clear it with him, he hasn't a problem so I will pm you.
Let us know how you get on.

Thank you. I'll give him a call straight away and see if there's anything he can help us with - will also keep you updated.
  • any news yet? Did T.W. have any comment? He struck me as 'old school' and as such was keen to get to the bottom of this.
  • Admin.
Have you made contact yet? What is the current situation.
  • I had appointment with one of the reps the other day and he said he will contact me on monday for decision. The reps name was Peter Lorenzo and claims to be the Regional Manager Of the West Midlands for CIS leads. He has left me his mobile number. What do you think I should do?

    Hi there,
Get as much info as you can! Car registration number, office address inc. the post code, telephone numbers, even some photos if you can so we can pass them onto the police as they are on the case now.
The Police needs as much evidence as we can provide them with, as they have over 45 complaints now therefore CIS is definitely a fraud. Please be very careful as if they suspect something they won't come back or even worse, if they are on site with you they might become very violent and hurt you.
BE VERY CAREFUL, this is not a joke.
