Unfortunately, Mystra, hazyjo is right. You do have to accept the possibility that she didn't just escape or run away, she may have been dumped.Je suis Charlie.0

Have signed up to Purrs - just waiting on approval
We've spoken to a local rescue - they're full and can't take her in however they said they can spay her on a voucher if necessary.
Everything always happens at just the wrong time doesn't it. OH is considering the fact that we may have to keep her as all the local no kills are full, it just makes me sad that this is not her home really, and that their could be someone out there who maybe hasn't seen our posters/gumtree ads and everything else we've done on and offline to re-unite her with her owners. i'm going to be worried sick all holiday about her - sounds selfish but we haven't been away for years and this was our long awaited trip of a life time and no doubt i will spend my time worrying about this poor little thing.
I feel utterly useless!
The's also a Purrs Facebook group as well;

is there a reason for them to have wobbly legs? She's not tender or in pain, can they just have it as a defect? if it we end up keeping her we'll be spending lots of time and money diagnosing the problem, who ever had her, even if they chucked her out probably already knows! :mad:0 -
East London? Must be from eating jellied eels.
OK, OK, I'm leaving...Je suis Charlie.0 -

Looks like she thinks it IS her home really!!Awww it doesn't sound in the least selfish, you actually sound like a very caring person who this little one is very lucky to have adopted. Try not to worry about her, your neighbour sounds like she won't let you or the little one down. You are doing all you can, if the cat is not microchipped that is a major stumbling block.
My Lulu came to me in a similar way: she appeared at the house of a friend of a friend with a wobbly gait, vet says dislocated pelvis probably from an RTA. No chip, local adverts didn't work, nothing online, came to me because the resident cat was not impressed by the interloper! She has settled beautifully and likes to be in the same room as me at all times. :blushing: I felt soooo guilty the first time she went into cattery (wedding, three line whip) but she got over it fine.
Wobbly legs could just be a birth defect or could be the residual effect of an RTA, ask on Purrs. The important thing is she is not in any pain or discomfort, you have established that with the vet.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
