For continuing to vote for the same politicians who refuse to tackle our unproductive and massively underperforming public sector.
In short to buy votes.0 -
No, it is for anyone anywhere in the UK get this if they are earning under 21000.

Seems to be just a yearly pay rise for public sector workers.
Nice!!! Now I shall wait and see if the private sector will follow up with something similar!!! Or maybe not.

It is not a bonus, there is a pay freeze on, and low paid workers got the money because of not earning enough. Those under 17000 got even more. It is definitely not a bonus, and a rise in the pension contributions wiped it out, for most of us....Private sector needs to catch up with the public services, as the government wants to put us in a race to the bottom of the payscales. I have worked in both sectors, and believe that the public services are hard working, I know there are ones that do nothing all day, and get away with it. But that is bad managment, who get paid megabucks.....0

There's a pay freeze in the private sector but they don't get £250. Instead they have to put up with great taxation to pay for your bonus. Private don't need to catch up, the public sector needs to reduce substantially, to the point where the private sector can actually afford it.0
