    Not sure you are right there Pepper - I witnessed management behaviour which was pure bully boy tactics - smiling assassins in every area of the private sector where I worked. Sometimes it was dealt with properly, sometimes it wasn't - just the same as in the public sector. The main difference was that in the private sector it was generally dealt with promptly ( but not always correctly)

    Inland Revenue are "Home" Civil Service and not Northern Ireland Civil Service, so their pay is not decided by DFP.

    All I can say is you have to go to the organisations that will help you, and keep on building your case, and eventually take it to court. Some people just do not stick up for themselves, and don't like others like myself, who threatened to take a grievance, and did so. Others just moan on, but won't do anything about it.
