Ah well, I was hoping. NICS is in a bad way, no staff, low morale, and management still manage to keep their big salaries...saverbuyer wrote: »No staff = 240,000
Everyone must be out on time in lieu or on the sick in that case.
pepper was talking NICS not total public sector, so once again you get it wrong!! :rotfl::rotfl: Fine example of a private sector employee you are; just read what you want to see!saverbuyer wrote: »What? Total public sector employment is approx. 240,000. Two hundred and forty thousand.0 -

NAR has NIPSA turned down that 2012/13 pay offer emailed out last week? Why did they do that? It actually seemed good to me.
I didnt see any mention of a £250 payment like the last time tho.0 -
No they are considering it. No non-consolidated payments this time, unless your rise is less than 1%!0

Yes it is a threat that has been around for quite a few years, meanwhile those staff in Coleraine, are kept waiting. Our MLA'S should be fighting to keep the jobs here.0

The Minister, who is an MLA, is totally opposed to it and is trying to convince his Assembly colleagues to agree to retain the jobs here in N.I. Unfortunately this is at a cost to the public as on-line functions carried out in Swansea cannot be done in Coleraine. Our MLA'S should be fighting to keep the jobs here.0 -
They have had their meeting. The ballot will start beginning of September.0

the £250 was a yearly salary increase for staff earning under £21000. i am a public servant, and out of curiosity has the private sector fully frozen salaries or did workers still get a low/cost of living increase?
The fact the (total) pay freeze is coupled with an increase in pension from 3.5% to 6.5% is sickening. If that happened to you in the private sector, i doubt you would be very happy.
Ironically, civil servants employed by the home office/border agency have pay progression in their terms and conditions. So while most civil servants haven't got an increase, these others have continues to progress up salary scales.
I also find it extremely cheeky that from pepper's previous thread she was off for most of the year sick and is expecting a pay increase...0
