I have a Capital One card and thought I'd try for the Luma.
I was accepted on the website but didn't hear anything for nearly four weeks, then an agreement came through the post, I duly signed and returned it. Today I got an email for signing into my account. They have given me £1500 to start :)

But is it the cash back card ?
  • I have a Cap 1 and I went for the Luma because I was fairly certain I'd get it because of my good standing with Capitol One. My initial limit was £500 when I received it this time last year, and compared to my other cards, it's the only limit still in three figures; the max is £1500 according to the tv ad. I don't use it much and if a limit increase isn't on the cards sometime in the new year then I may finish with it.

The cashback is limited to £9 per month, which is 4% of £225.
Why the need for a large limit?
It's best to use another card after £225.

From August 2012? I doubt it ...

The Luma Cashback Card was only available a couple of months back and withdrawn to new applicants at end of November 2013. (It may return, but then there were promises some of the benefits offered on the card available in August 2012 would return this year ... and there's now only a few hours left so I don't think that's likely)

Another one I cant apply for seeing as I ran into difficulty with Captial One in the past.

You probably can actually apply again as I am going through Payplan for my debts but really needed extra cash and got accepted for a capital one card even though I already have an account via Payplan!! :/ I've been sensible with this though and haven't hot in trouble! :)

Generally the utility bills are for proof of address - are you on the electoral roll? If not, get on it, these can help get credit!

If they have gotten that far ie. not a straight rejection, it's likely a 'yes'. Good luck!

Same happened to me, I received my pin a few days later, and then my card followed.

First credit card, stoked to be building up my credit score.
