I am glad these 'part time perry masons' did carry on as if we all thought oh well it is a big company, they can do what they like, where would we be. Power to the people can work sometimes.

I am claiming the new broadband monthly charges up until my contract with orange expires in October 2013
  • Received today, 12 December 2012. Without prejudice, full settlement of my claim for replacing my broadband and the right to cancel my contract without penalty. Good luck to the rest of you who are claiming through the courts. I expect you all to be compensated without being heard in court.

Congratulations! excellent news - they definitely have no appetite for Court! - because they do not have a leg to stand on and are trying to keep the lid on this!

Thanks for posting the outcome - relax and have a great Christmas :xmassmile
  • Good guesswork by gadgetmaster. But the outcome was obvious as it was handled by amateurs

From the outset I have said no way could Orange do this legally, as it rumbles on they are still calling bluff to the last hurdle then caving in.

Well! - is this their next disingenuous offer?

My broadband stopped connecting. I called them up and to be fair they very quickly said, "oh we have turned off your account, we shouldn't have done that as we agreed to continue your broadband to the end of your contract". Then they switched it back on pretty much instantly. So they are obviously getting more organized at fixing their mistakes.

Its just a shame I had spent two hours juggling router and microfilters trying to work out why the internet wouldn't work before thinking to call them up.
