Orange 'Free' Broadband

thanks for all the info on this thread and i will follow it through tomorrow, but can i ask a question.
if i am currently paying landline to bt and have to move this to orange at a lower rate and still then get free broadband, what is so bad about that?
Nothing at all wrong with it if it suits you.
But taking away free BB - which was promised initially for life - and then again used to induce customers to renew expensive mobile contracts by promising it would run concurrently with their contract.
To find it is to be withdrawn a short way into their contract unless they take the Orange landline deal is tantamount to blackmail.
And essentially is what the thread is about.0 -
Please sign the petition to Ofcom if you haven't already done so and if you can paste it onto your facebook page, if you have one then it will reach more people who may be affected and want Ofcom to DO SOMETHING!. Yes i have signed the petition already.
Just wondering where all the rest of the people getting stuffed by ORANGE are.0 -
If you have been the receipient, of the offensive letter, informing you that you must change your landline or suffer the consequences, and lose your Free For Life Broadband.
Please, please, DO NOT be intimidated. Make your objections known, by informing Ofcom, if you feel you were mis sold your contract.
They should provide you with an Ofcom Reference Number. (Ask For It)
Armed with this ,contact Orange Executive, and ask that your Broadband contract be matched to your phone contract.
Do Not Be Fobbed Off. This concession has been fought very hard for, and is available to those that ASK FOR IT.
Finally, if like me, you still feel aggrieved at the lies you were told to lure you into an expensive FREE FOR LIFE Broadband contract.
Go back to Ofcom and ask FIRMLY, that they FULLY investigate the methods used to sell these contracts, and "IF FOUND" that the case be referred to Trading Standards for appropriate prosecution.
The Phone Numbers, email addresses and sequence of events to follow, are all available on Eva49 Template on this thread and are Highly Recommended.
P.S. Please sign RobbedRobbins Petition.( Also on the thread)

Following receiving a letter back in August and hitting a brick wall with Orange, i moved to Talktalk. After checking with this thread again and Oranges apparent turnaround i followed Eva's post and complained via Ofcom & the Exec office.... Just had a call from the exec office and they have confirmed that they are releasing me from my contract penalty free.!!
Now i dont have to deal with this company of muppets ever again:beer: Now that is a result!!
Cheers

PS, Also as a result of moving to talktalk i was able to enter their comp for Xfactor Live final tickets which i won..... So something to thank Orange for i guess (Well with Rylan still in , maybe not!!:rotfl:)0 -

Who?
(Guess who hasn't seen any of Hex-Factor this year?)0 -
Many thanks to both you & Eva49, successfully had my broadband reinstated until the end of my mobile contract. Now I will have to cancel the contract that I took out with Talk Talk to replace broadband service, hopefully there won't be any problems there.0
