Eva, you are right!! Just spoke to them and they said it can only be credited to my BB account (which I never had any access to anyway!). So, it is another dirty trick to get me signed with Orange when my current mobile contract ends!:mad::mad:

    Anyone in the similar position???!!

It looks like there is only one option - Small Claim Court!

Another good reason to be logged with Ofcom and Exec Office

Executive Office are the only office with full access to both accounts
  • Just read my letter and my says:-

'In addtion to this we will also credit your account with a goodwill payment of £28.00.'

There is NO mention of the word BROADBAND account in my letter.

Will have to wait until the 12th of November, that is the next billing/statement day for me so I hopefuly will let you know if it appears. My case will not be closed until my mobile account is credited, and OEO know this and yes they can see if any payment has gone into your account from there end.

    Kind Regards

I suspect if resolution was reached with Exec Office it will be credited to your mobile account ;)

Yes, this is a very interesting point. All those who have reached recent agreements have yet to discover how poor their BB service might suddenly become after the initial euphoria of reaching a resolution with the BB team. Which means we think we have won the battle, but will we be ultimately penailised for it in the coming months? Will the new forum on here be Orange rendering our BB service more than useless as a penalty for complaining and demanding agreement on the basis of mis selling? Many of us are a long way off from knowing how we will be effected in the long term. So we need to report on here any slowing down of our existing BB service as soon as we see it! STAY ALERT! Start asking that question now...we all signed up to what we thought was unlimited download back in 2006-2009 because it was before the days of BBCi player/You tube etc and we are all assuming this is what we will still get, but if its capped at 2GB( whatever the lowest rate is, not an IT nerd sorry) then it means we are stuck with a vastly inferior BB service but stuck with a 18 month ++++ mobile contract!

Been trying to stream BBC Iplayer and Youtube Vid's now for the last few days at peak times.
    I.E. Around 5pm.

It Just times out, after struggling to buffer the file. Because I have 'Insufficent Broadband'

Make no mistake. This is a direct result of Orange 'strangling' the broadband.

Even when you are paying them for a broadband service, you dont get it.

Im sure they believe this is acceptable, as in their eyes, its a 'free' service.

I note more of the mainstream media are picking up this story.

Lets hope it leads to some in depth investigative reporting into Orange, and their business practices.
  • yes, please sign the petition so we get there by midnight before we lose the forum for maintenance! All those with large families get on their case to sign and support you!

At no point when I upgraded/renewed my mobile contract did the Customer service adviser tell me I had two seperate accounts. The contract I was upgrading was the original from 2006(ongoing free for life) and was told quote "dont worry everything remains the same and you will continue to get your free broadband". I called back a day or so later to confirm this, as I believe there is no such thing as a free lunch!!! I know what I said and could prove this if they have the voice recorded calls I made to them.
A lesson learned!! Always try to record your calls and this will stop ORANGE in the future.

At the time of the upgrade they did not spell out the terms and conditions. I only agreed on account of receiving Free Broadband.

Continue to pursue ORANGE and if you can call OFCOM to get a reference number this will help further down the line when they backtrack. Unthinkable - I think not!!!:p:p:p:mad:

They will NEVER have my business in future nor my family's. Good job Orange lets see where you rank now with your customer services. Bottom I should think.
