I suppose its feasible that exec have contracted the outsourced dept to now deal with this 'new decision of honouring free BB' as well?
Given the number of complaints this fiasco has generated they will be using call centres in India soon if not Qatar!!! 88,000 viewing this forum will generate a fair few complaints I dare say. Will let you know when I get everything in writing. Could be a while!!!:j

0141 is the outsourced 'special team' based in Glasgow

The exact number: 01415 679 060 Glasgow 'Special Team' who called me 27/9
• I have been patiently waiting for Orange to back down and have been doing some price comparisons on mobile deals as well as broadband etc in the meantime.
I too renewed my orange mobile contract thru Phones 4 u under false promises of Free BB and still have 18 months to run on a £20 per month deal. Carphone wharehouse offering same Galaxy Ace phone/5000 texts/250 mins calls and 500 MB for £7.50 per month. I can continue my BT landline at £10.75 upfront per month incl free w/e &eve calls and broadband for £9 per mnth equals £27.25 against £20 mobile + £14 and no free calls with Orange, so costs £34. Means detrimental cost to me of £6.75 per month. Has anyone got out of their mobile phone contract on a mis selling basis such as the above comparisons as I can't find it anywhere in the 89 pages of this thread!!
BTW Orange offered me the odd amount of £97.25 to switch to their landline service but I anticipate this will be as bad as their mobile service. BT sales guy also warned me that those who switch to Orange would have to pay upwards of £100 to an Open Reach engineer should they ever have problems with their line whilst BT would sort it for free...worth considering if you're mad enough to be tempted to move your landline to Orange.
I want to go down the mis selling of mobile contracts route...anyone had success??

I've still not had a single phone from orange, maybe it's because I've already moved my bb?

Think I'll be making a few phone calls tomorrow

2) Phone Orange Executive Office: 0800 0790 134
Quoting Ofcom case no. and note the name of the person you speak to. Under Ofcom rules they have 48 hours to respond.

3) Put your complaint in writing following http://www1.orange.co.uk/documents/a...e-20120322.pdf

4) Report the case to Citizens Advice Bureaux (CAB) 08454 04 05 06 and ask for it to be reported to trading standards

5) The next step would be to take your claim to the small claims court.
Issue a Notice of Pre-Court Action (suggest 10-14days notice) and email FAO (Name of Contact) executive.office@everythingeverywhere.com back that up with a hard copy and send by recorded delivery to Head Office:

Good Luck to all :) Apologies for the length!

Orange retained their Mobile Contract Customers by offering ‘Free BB for Life’ as an inducement to renew their Mobile Contract for a minimum term, and most of us relied upon that representation that Orange would not remove this incentive, certainly, it was not foreseeable at the time of renewal this would be to our detriment some time into a new contract.
Customers are now under duress to accept the current offer which is a substantial variation in terms, and has to be acceptable

Will do thanks
• I think you guess correctly,My inital letter re cut of was 8th Nov after lodging my complaint and also getting the salesman in Phones 4u to ring them my cut off date has moved to 26th Nov and my out of pocket offer increased from £50 to £97.25.
However, I am so cross I was mis sold a 24 month phone contract just to keep the free broadband I am holding out for free cancellation of the phone contract as I have discovered Orange lost 2 masts from our area some months ago and the signal which was always poor is now hopeless, I want OUT of Everything Everywhere that was coloured Orange. HOLD OUT FOR A FAIR DEAL Everyone!

For those that are prepared to wait longer and closer to their apparent cut off dates, Orange may well come up with a better offer. Watchdog may force their hand?

First it was up to £50 to buy out existing line rental contracts. Then later changed to up to £100. Then following the Ofcom complaints, the material detriment offer and switch to only a 12 mth agreement and not 18 mths.

So the terms are improving! Orange may give you a 11th hour offer before your cut off (to not be in breach of contract), to keep your free broadband until the end of your mobile contract (without switching line rental!)

I have been unable to post this prior to today, as like Orange T&C's, I needed to dot the" I's" and cross the "T's".
Yesterday I finalized my Orange account
Today I completed the process of transferring my BB services.

Having reached resolution with Orange, subsequent to issuing my Notice of Pre-Court Action, I was released penalty free from my contract.
I must emphasize this was NOT my 1st choice.
What I asked for, was in fact reinstatement of my free BB for the length of my contract (albeit I had free BB for Life)

However, due to the Great Orange Turnaround, after having reached resolution with Orange 2 weeks ago, It leaves me with a very bitter/sweet taste in my mouth albeit more cash in my pocket each month!

Plusnet £9.49 includes evening & weekend calls line rental paid upfront for 12 months
Plusnet BB £5.74 a month 12 month half price contract 60GB - Unlimited downloads 12 midnight - 8am

Previously £14.60 per month BT evening & weekend calls + Free BB

Virgin Mobile £12.00 per month = 1200minutes + Unlim texts + 1GB (Sim only) 30 day rolling contract

Previously £39 per month Orange Panther 41

I am rendered totally speechless by the 'Ostrich Syndrome' the higher management adopted to their approach!
Leaving the front line staff to take all the grief whilst those in their Ivory Towers sit smugly pondering their next move!
Seven and a half weeks of grief and lies and now a total back-down

Loyalty means nothing! Customer since mid 90's

Good Luck to all and in particular the "Home Brew Perry Masons" on the forum

Never again will I enter into a Mobile Contract.
• :beer:Hi Everyone,
This is my first post on a forum, however I have been following activities since very early on. Well done to all those brilliant people who have been fighting on behalf of people like me.
I have approached Ofcom to complain about the Misselling of Free Broadband and asked that they look at the legal aspect of Orange enticing customers,to take out a more expensive phone package, with the offer of Free Broadband for Life.
I have received a reply this evening, from Ofcom, which I will pr!cis for you all. They repeated their view that Orange could change T&C,(same as my first email reply), but added that in view of my subsequent request to investigate the Misselling aspect, and refer for prosecution if found. They said they would be looking again at this an would take action where appropriate.
Sounds like the flood has become a Tsunami.
Will
