Cryptic's complete silence on the matter speaks volumes.
Neither my offer of money or his need to put the record straight have elicited a response.

The above is cut and pasted,
Just to set the record straight,
I have never sent cryptic1 a PM

Ive spoken to Orange again and im still refusing to signup to any landline or any other contract with them regardless of what they compensate me. There are 2 options I am happy with and they are free broadband continuing until my mobile contract ends in 6 months or immediate termination of my mobile contract at no cost to myself. Orange have refused to do either and stand by their decision to cut me off in November. They refuse to accept I have been missold, they just tell me the terms and conditions say they can stop the broadband if they want to. On what basis are we saying we have been missold? As far as im concerned ive been missold by being told I would have the broadband whilst I had a mobile contract but according to orange they are allowed to change my contract. How are we supposed to win on the grounds of misselling if they hide behind that term. I dont know what else to do. Ive complained to OFCOM and contacted the Exec Office with the reference number and to complain and now im at the end of the road and dont know what to do next. Im not going to just move my broadband until im cut off so what do I do now? I also dont want to buy myself out of my mobile contract either as I dont see why it should cost me more money.
When you called the Exec Office with your Ofcom case number and made your complaint, did you then write a letter of complaint stating what you would accept as resolution to your complaint?
Might be worth doing that, and then email Exec Office.
Try and get a named 'case manager' to whom you can refer whenever you call and email your letter FAO + named person
If you were told, at renewal of contract, that BB was included, and it was your understanding it would run for the length of your contract, you have been mis-sold
Mis sold contracts
[FONT="]The law says that a service provider or shop must not try to sell you a contract which is misleading in any way.
This page tells you what to do if you think your contract or product has been mis-sold.

yes i got the email today with a link to new broadband terms and conditions, going to move broadband to plusnet and keep trying to get mobile contract cancelled free of penalty charges
I got the email as well. Has anyone used the link and then tried to fathom out which pdf applies ?
I read through what I think is the right one and the T&Cs are very interesting and look like they are trying to cover every base they forgot to cover with free broadband. Some very sneaky tricks as well as basically if you go forward with it you give them the capability to do whatever they want to change in the future and charge you if it is wrong !0 -
Just to keep you all up to date...
I had a call on Friday last from the `special` secret squirrel team, a scottish lady who convinced me she was an Orange employee.
Usual offer was made to get me to move my landline from BT etc. Long story short, I told her the only option was free bb for duration of mobile contract - did not care how this was accounted for, charge then credit back blah blah.
She told me she would call me back within 48hrs - pointing out she was working all weekend.
You guessed it ............NO CALL BACK !!!
Email sent to all & sundry within Orange & cc`d Ofcom with reference numbers and still no call to date.

@redandwhitewizard
I haven't read the new T&Cs (obviously, since I'm not with Orange for BB) but if what you say is true then it sounds like they'll find they fall foul of the Unfair Contract Terms Act, in which case they'll have another battle on their hands
Way to go Horange! :beer:0 -

choose options carefully, it should be an Orange call centre0 -
Cheers Neil, I have the numbers but will just wait as it`s all ammunition for the legals that I expect to be getting involved in with them in the near future.

It's interesting because if you look at the Free Broadband T&C's that this thread is all about they've added a line at the top saying CValid between XX/xx/xx and xx/xx/xx (Can't recall the dates) but obviusly trying to add weight to their spurious arguement that it was only offered for a short time0 -
Hi all,
I notice some of you mention being told your broadband was 'free for life'. Was this ever confirmed in writing, or written on marketing information? If so, please could you email a copy of this to helen@moneysavingexpert.com
Thanks.
