Anyway, thought I would update after a bit of a meltdown yesterday. Really upset, but I think the general CD1 crap'ness isn't helped by the fact that it is the peak of your monthly hormones too.

Feeling calmer today, although very tired as I think a variety of stresses have worn me out all week. Still not too happy with everything, but feeling a hell of a lot better today.

I'm working up the courage to ask OH to go and get a SA. He won't like it... but I think we need to find out if there is a problem, or if we can just keep trying and hoping!

Hope everyone else is well. Thanks for the support, don't know what I would do without this forum. Loved the dodgy hugs from Tinks yesterday, even if it did make me cry!
  • Thank you so much ladies for all your kind words, I'm absolutely terrified we'll lose it again but trying to stay positive. to those who asked I made OH look at the test as I was too nervous too and he was just like 'theres lines on it - but I don't know if they're the right ones' so we kind of found out together :)

I just wanted to send a big hug to T2D - I wanted to send you one yesterday but I didn't know if it would be ok with you.

I'd really like to keep up to date with you ladies as you've been so much help and support to me in the last 15 or so months and helped me through a lot of hard times (and I'm still not convinced I wont be joining you again shortly) but can you tell me honestly if you'd mind? I don't want to upset anyone...

Personally I'm quite happy for you to hang around Lemon :)

More big hugs Time2Deal, glad you're feeling a little calmer today :)

Goodness, seen the post that I assume people are alluding to on the WTTTC thread, talk about getting ahead of yourself! I didn't even want to buy a cute Disney babygrow on my honeymoon in case it was tempting fate! :o

Exactly!!! It's not even a matter of tempting fate, it rarely takes 1 month so would be really hard having baby stuff everywhere!!!

  • Evening all

Sorry I have been missing for a week or 2, I just needed a little break from everything being about ttc. I love this thread and truely appreciate all the help and support I have received from here.

Thanks to those who asked about my DH. He is waiting to have a chat with the consultant re medication as they don’t like to medicate too soon as the medication can have some pretty nasty side effects. They usually wait about 12 mths from diagnosis before they medicate. He has good days and bad days.

Ok its a pretty mammoth list of comments from me but here goes.....................

Lemonmelon – congratulations :j, wishing you a healthy 9 months. I personally wouldn’t mind if you stayed around

Massive congratulations on becoming MrsSqu1rrel :T

Oh tealover I am so sorry you are leaving us. I have only been around this thread for 9 months but have valued your input greatly. Please pop back in occasionally and let us know how you are

Sorry to hear about your loss Jox

Bigzippy – well done on the 60lbs wait loss, that is really an achievement

    Hello ktb

Lilian1977 – welcome back, hope your stay is short and sweet in the nicest possible way.

Abis, I hope your DD is feeling better

Sorry to hear about your friend Mogwai

Congratulations Teaandcupcakesplease, a beautiful niece to spoil rotten

Razwaz, sorry to hear the news about your Mum. My Mum has diabetes too and she sometimes doesn’t take great care of herself which I am forever on at her about.

Abis – thank you sooooo much for sharing the news about Kitten pie, I am absolutely thrilled for her. Off to the pregnancy threat to get all the details.........

Attton – what a lovely bunch of flowers from your OH. Your dress is lovely

Good luck to all those with FS appointments coming up

Hugs for those who have had CD1 since my last visit.

I will try and keep up to date better and am feeling a lot more positive than I was a week or so ago.

Its bad enough seeing negative ovulation sticks, negative pg sticks, temps that aren't what you want. Waking up day over day and not having a bfp. Wondering what on earth is wrong with your body and why isnt it happening. Doctors, tests and all sorts that people have to go through, and thats even before miscarriages, or other awful things women on this thread have had to go through. The thought of having to then see a pile of stuff would push me over the edge. I cant even begin to imagine it and I havent even experienced all of the above.

I dont think Id even buy stuff until Id got to the 20 week scan or more. Nothing is a guarantee sadly.
  • i feel a bit hurt- and maybe taking this too seriously and being a bit paranoid?- but if its me you are chatting about (in regards to getting ahead of myself) then so what! its not like im harming anyone- and surely this forum is about supporting people and feeling excited about things to come- not doing what some of you have been.
i have brought loads of baby stuff yes- but so what- im doing it to be prepared and doing it with vouchers so not spending money
and i dont see whats wrong with it
im not sure why some of you feel the need to comment on it

I think the reason some people here are a bit shocked by just how prepared you are being/trying to be (If it is you they are talking about (I'm not sure if it is or not but you sound quite prepared from this post) because they know that TTC isn't always a straightforward have sex get pregnant get baby process. The sight of all those things that were bought in the positive first few steps where the end was rose tinted and straightforward and it doesn't even cross your mind that you might never get a baby to use those baby grows, or wear those nappies or go out in that pram etc. Can actually make you feel worse, and put more pressure on yourself 'X' amount of time later.

When I first got pregnant back in 2005 I was excited and went nuts buying stuff. I had teddies and outfits, toiletries, nappies all sorts. The first outfit I ever bought was a cream cord suit that had a pair of trousers and a waistcoat style top, the pockets had teddy bear faces on and I absolutely loved it and couldn't wait to see my baby in it. When I lost that baby I had to come home and see all that stuff there that was meant for the baby I had just said goodbye to. My little boy was never going to get to wear that cream outfit and it broke my heart. I packed it all up and gave it to my gran and asked her to dispose of it for me as I didn't have the strength to.

A lot of the people on here have had losses or a difficult road so far that they know might never end with a baby and those momento's and baby items bought on the spur of the moment add nothing but a bitter sweet reminder of what ifs and hopes and dreams.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx
