  • Ok, now I'm sorry if I've offended you all but I posted on here originally as we had been struggling to conceive and I got some great advice.
I was hoping my post this morning would have given some of you some hope as I've seen some people asking the same questions.

My intention was not to annoy you all but I will leave you all in peace now.

    Hi Ladies

Hope everyone is ok? I have had a quick read back and am just a little concerned :(

I completely agree with those who think posting a couple of times and then announcing bpfs is insensitive and unecessary but I'm a little worried that only those who have been struggling and are posting everyday are the more valued members of the thread....

I have been trying since October and have been posting on the thread I think since then albeit irregularly; I can't post everyday because if I were to be seen on the site at work I would be sacked (no word of a lie, our internet useage is monitored). I'm busy when I get home and like to spend time talking to OH. I also like reading the thread and keeping up with what is going on but simply don't always have advice or anything interesting to say!!

I think I would think quite carefully about announcing a bfp now if I were lucky enough to get one because I just don't think I contribute to the thread as much as seems to be necessary for anyone to be pleased for me.

This thread is a wonderful outlet for those like me who want to ask advice or to talk to people in the same situation and I don't want to 'leave' it :(

I hope I'm not putting the cat among the pigeons, I just wanted to voice my opinion and not flounce off Miss Piggy stylie!! If people are happy for me to drop in and add my twopennoth then great! But I don't want to feel under pressure to post everyday.

Anyway rant/whinge over I'll go and hide under the sofa now....:o

Pretty soon no one will be able to post a BFP on here at all without fear of upsetting people.

I can understand how it is annoying/frustrating for those who haven't had theirs to feel like it's being pushed in their face by those who have but I think it's important to remember that this is the trying to conceive thread, so people who are trying (and have posted whilst trying, as Saz did a couple of times) should feel they can share their success too.

I agree that once you've done that and got over the initial shock of it it's time to graduate to the other thread for updates on how things are going etc, which is what I've been trying to do the last few days.

    Hi Ladies

just wanted to send hugs to those feeling down today x

Hooray fannyanna for your positive news, so glad the appointment went well and your doctor was so helpful.

Wanted to share some TMI news too, can't remember who was asking about b6 (this thread moves quickly) but I've been on that and ac this month and am really pleased with some of the effects I think they had. Firstly can I be updated to CD1 please as the witch got me.

This Cycle I have had oodles of EWCM, a stronger LH surge and therefore more warning of OV, less spotting pre AF, a slightly longer luteal phase and finally most pleasing of all...................

A proper period hooray! Since I came of the pill I have barely done more than spot, *TMI*even my mc was really light. Ive been really worried about it so much but after my initial grumps over the witches visit I'm feeling a bit more positive!

I hope that makes sense and doesn't just sound like the ramblings of a madwoman!

Upping my AC to full dose this cycle so fingers crossed.

DH not done SA. Feels 'pressured'. Gah!

Thanks for all the hugs, I have had a horrible day and DH has now taken himself out as he had planned to so I'm going to watch crappy TV and have an early night. My eyes hurt from crying so much and I've worn myself out.

Abis thank you for your lovely reply. I do feel at fault but I know DH won't be thinking that. I guess this whole thing is just 100x harder than I ever imagined.xxx

Claire - hope you do ovulate soon. Nothing worse than wonky cycles!!!! xx And yes I am a teacher, who has just got home!

TCD I don't know why I watch it either. Crazy! Hugs to all those ladies who find it difficult xx And I agree with you about the ultrasound thing. I don't know what they are thinking...oh someone is being referred for infertility, I know, let's put them in the same waiting areas as pregnant women. Nice!

COMP do you really want removing from the list? We don't mind you lurking x

maire soy messed up my cycles. Even this cycle, when I thought it had worked. It hadn't. Might not be the case for you but just be aware it can! Is there another reason you took it if you are ov-ing at CD15 anyway?

AFM I'd love 4 children. Hoping we can still achieve that! I would also love to adopt at some point so we will see.

Code I was tempted to go and buy shoes but tbh was just so knackered I just wanted to come home. I can't even eat loads of choc cus that's not low GI! Argh. But I am going to treat myself to an early night! Hope you are ok x

Birdie hope DH gets his act together ;) and you manage to BD more around ov.
I'm always sweet and to the point haha. Definitely a good idea about adding it to the front pg. I was wondering the other day if I should start a new thread so I could edit the front page.

Fannyanna glad your appointment went well and yay to a plan!

Hopelass that wasn't what the posts above were about at all. You, and others, have contributed to this thread, even if you don't manage to get on every day. I for one certainly recognise your username. That's not what we were saying, we were saying that people just pop up on here, get a BFP and then start giving advice about how it can happen when that just isn't the case for some of us ladies. x

I think it's just like anything, some people need to be sensitive to the fact that some ladies have been here for a very long time and it smarts. A bit of sensitivity to this wouldn't go amiss.

Purcy - great news on a normal AF! Yay! :T
If I've missed anyone from the predictions list for Feb, please shout.

    .

Thanks Becca I do massively understand the need for sensitivity, I just worried that I might be seen in the same way seeing as I don't post all the time.....Thanks also for doing such a great job of the lists - esp when you are feeling so pants and know how it feels to cry so much - it's exhausting. Hope you manage to have a relaxing evening and early night so tomorrow can be better for you. Hugs xx

  • Just a quickie from me again..Hopelass, you are a contributor to this thread and not what the other's were meaning at all. Of course not everyone can post every day (I'd be sacked too!).

I think if you pop on here sporadically, you should at least have a quick read through the last couple of pages to gauge the mood of the board in general. It's been a bit flat and sad recently, despite a flurry of BFP's, so a bit of sensitivity is required.

    I am b*ggering off now :D
