Claire I have tons to lose they haven't mentioned not giving me Clomid cos of that, just made me aware that it will be an issue if we need ivf. the six months was cos it looked like the increased metformin dose was working so they were hopeful as was I that that would be all I needed. but now not so much. I'm beginning to think I just don't ovulate in autumn or winter lol
I want to lose weight before the appointment to give us the best chance. 5lbs so far and just under eight weeks to appointment
becca I know it might be a bit tough atm cos of the snow but I try to keep low gi snacks in the house, especially custard and no added sugar jelly to stop me eating sweet things x x
Maybe you could try luna ception in the summer?Im not sure if it worked for me though. I hate the winter in general!
Good luck on your weightloss.Oh Birdie, that's so thoughtless! I was reading on my ccancer forum of girls being offered a ’new mums bounty pack’ at the hospital... as the department is beside maternity. Its little things that can really hurt.
Good luck Mrs h on the icsi . I'm heading to egg collection on Thursday, then the icsi people work their magic. I'm very nervous but trying not to show dh, as he had to ’perform’ on the day too ,and I'm sure he is nervous! Looks good on my end, so fingers crossed we have some super super tiny babies by next week.
I have a bounty pack in a cupboard upstairs, I felt like burning it after the mc, I said to DH have we got a metal bin we can burn it in and he said no can only think of the wooden waste paper basket so probably not a good idea :rotfl:Becca, what sorts of things do you eat on the low GI food plan? I wasn't able to make it out to the library (4.5 miles walking in the snow was plenty for me!) so I haven't been able to nab any books on the subject.
Unfortunately, DH wanted me to make some of our chocolate covered 'crack' as he calls it. They are peanut butter squares with chocolate on top. Good, but definitely NOT low GI! We are down to the last piece though, so I'll nudge DH to eat that tonight so it doesn't taunt me.
That sounds amazing. I found a nigella recipe for these peanut butter squares before and made it several times in a month! Its basically peanut butter, I think squished into a pan with digestives or something, and then you melt chocolate, put it on the top and chill it. However when I read about putting on weight - when I lost a fair bit through morning sickness, everything seemed to say peanut butter was a good fat to help you put weight on, so Im not sure it would be good if you want to loose weight! Although I think you still need fat in your diet and its a 'good' fat as opposed to something like chocolate!0 -
Congratulations cozza!
I'm CD 13 and the temp went up a bit but I guess it'll jump tomorrow and today is OV. BD only on thursday (way too early) but not sure if Ill be in the mood tonight. Anyway, we decided to go from TTC to NTNP as it's a lot less stress and that way we'll still get a chance but it might take a bit longer but have the advantage of DS being old enough then to be cheaper in nursery terms etc once it does happen. Maybe towards the end of the year we'll go back to TTC seriously. I keep lurking etc though as for me personally there's no difference

Congrats Cozza :j
Vesper that's amazing news about your business
CD1 for me please. This cycle was long, as I Oved late (from EWCM) but the first time I had a proper luteal phase. So good news even though AF arrived!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -

That's probably the same recipe! It isn't the having them that's the bad bit, it's the "I cannot stop with one!" that's the bad bit. If I could limit it to maybe one per day, I'd be fine! Showed DH the calories in one serving (I make them in ice cube trays usually, helps with portioning, and 2 'cubes' is a serving), 142 calories in two little squares! I could eat nearly a whole bowl of beans for that! Granted, DH may want me to eat the chocolate and peanut butter instead of the beans IYKWIM...0 -
Wow those peanut butter thingies sound immense, may have to whip some up later. I usually avoid Nigella recipes as I don't really like her
I much prefer Jamie. I always think of Karen on Outnumbered doing an impression of her "slurpy, burpy, licky, sticky, mmmmm" :rotfl:
Nice to see we are getting a good few BFPs along the way, helps keep the PMA going. We haven't been trying for long and I already find it hard to see pregnant ladies etc, so ((hugs)) for those who are having a tough time of it. And damn you Facebook! Although I must admit I am guilty of posting lots of pics of my little girl too....:cool:0 -

Haha! I've never watched her (I don't typically watch tv, much prefer watching things on the computer), but DH happened to catch the last 10 minutes of one of her shows once before F1 came on and lo and behold, he fell in love with the peanut butter squares. They work just fine with smooth pb if you run out of crunchy btw.
Right now we are completely out of peanut butter AND chocolate! We are down to the last teaspoons of sugar as well. I'd like to get another bag of sugar, but then again, my waistline says it can wait until next month! :rotfl:0 -
Hugs for CD1 Lara
Hope you get a BFP next month!
Just been accused of eating for 2 because I ate a couple of biscuits this morning...'No, that's just a food baby I'm nurturing!'
Luckily I'm in a good mood today or that would've really anoyed me!

Birdie, whenever that happens to me I take the Sarah Millican route.
Nasty person: Are you pregnant?
Me: Only if I've ****** Mr Kipling!
AFM I'm still sick with this cold. It's got into my sinuses and I'm getting horribly out of breath climbing the stairs in my house so I can't even go to the gym. It hurts when I bend over and I feel like I've been punched in the face. DH is still weak from the noro so it doesn't look like there will be much in the way of bding this month. Lets hope ov holds off for a bit. Also thanks to that fertility website I posted, I'm going to try one of the herbs for glucose intolerance. At the very least it's meant to kill your cravings for sweet things. Just received it through the post so will be giving that a shot before lunch.
congrats cozza.
Hugs lara and anyone else with CD1.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
AF has departed for this cycle, so commence with waiting for ov! I think I've talked DH into bd'ing at least every other night, if not every night/morning this month. I think not having a bfp yet has hit him hard too.0

10DPO here - really tempted to POAS tomorrow as only had luteal phase of 11days last month (according to FF)
I will NOT POAS tomorrow, I will NOT POAS tomorrow, I will NOT POAS tomorrow . . . . .0
