Welcome Nessie! I just did my first POAS yesterday so am no expert on that unfortunately. But I found this site interesting reading.

Seems like lots of us have reluctant AFs this month :p. I'm hopeful for a big show of BFPs early next week. I'm going to test Monday if AF doesn't show up by then.

Wow, just looked over the charts (from 13dpo through 21dpo and it looks like at least 10% of pregnant women still had a negative pregnancy test at 20dpo! That seems like a lot! That's 1 out of 10. Why I had it in my mind that it was rarer than that, like 1 out of 100, I have no idea.

I'm still just barely spotting here. Either I ov'd late, AF is being lazy about getting here, or I'm pregnant. I've come to the decision today that I'm fine with it either way. If AF comes, I'll have it, get it over with (drop a few pounds in the process!) and have another go next month. If AF doesn't come, then, yay! :)

    Hi ladies

Hugs for the bfn's ladies here's hoping their just a little shy.

Hi to the new ladies as well!

Been keeping up with reading but haven't posted for aaaaaages I think it's the shock of being back at work after 2 weeks off I'm shattered!
I'm still waiting to ov and waiting and waiting had loads of ewcm over the past week but nowts happened yet. Maybe it's the b6 and agnus castus having an effect? As long as they fix my lp ill be happy! I ov on cd18 last month so I thought I'd cracked the long cycles. Never Mind I just need to learn to have a bit more patience
  • I had day '21' bloods taken 7dpo so hopefully it's an accurate enough test. I have no idea what will happen at next appointment though as I've read a few different things (mostly confirming what you wonderful ladies have been saying i.e. that it is an adequate reading for ovulation) so not sure if they'll pat me on my head and tell me to jog on/ if they'll give me something like clomid to try and provoke a stronger response/ if they'll do further investigations. DH is having his SA on Monday and the closer it gets the worse his humour becomes- I'm on the verge of knocking him out! I'm just hoping that it's me and not him!

Duo have been in touch with me to explain the other readings and they aren't concerned by them so that's reassuring- FSH reveals your ovarian reserve/ quality apparently- if it's under 9 then it's 'good' under 6 is 'excellent'. The LH level in comparison doesn't indicate hormonal imbalance so I'm sort of hoping that losing over 2 stone in the past 2 years has started to bring my PCOS under control (except for the crazy varying cycle lengths)... We'll see. Hopefully this time next year we'll (ALL) have our baby (IES)!

I'd take that site with a pinch of salt tho - as 14% of people showed positives at 1DPO :eek: Which I think is highly HIGHLY unlikely!!!!

QQ would not be happy if we were POAS at 1DPO!!!!

TCD - I'm a bit jel that you are getting referred. My story is v similar to yours - secondary infertility, irregular cycles, being tested etc - but the docs said to me that my progesterone didn't confirm ov either (22 @4DPO and 26 @11DPO) but they just said they would test it again this cycle and I could determine ov and do the test 7 days after that. I personally think that it did show I ov'd as the pre-ov test was 1.2 or something. So it had obviously risen and done something.

Nessie - You are meant to wait til AF is late and test then but I always crack early. I had a TLP @ 11DPO, but I still start the testing from around 9DPO cos I'm daft like that :o:o I just use IC ones so I just see it as a small habit that isn't too expensive :o:o Welcome to the boards btw - hope your stay is short & sweet :D

Vesper - I'm freezing to death in Yorkshire too :( Do not like the cold one bit! Gonna have tea, then a bath, then get pjs on and get a hot water bottle. I am sooooooo rock n roll these days :p

Claire - try not to wind yourself up about it all :o I will get the wagging finger out if I need to. All pregnancies are different - so you can't guarentee that the signs will be the same. And your miscarriage may have knocked your cycles out of kilter - so not your 'new' normal might be not to have achy boobs before AF. You'll drive yourself crazy in the 2ww if your not careful. I know its hard tho :o:o Try to distract yourself with something else if you can xx

AFM - I had a sort of +ve OPK today - the test & control line were the same shade. Yesterday was darker on the test line. I just can't quite believe it is ov yet tho. No EWCM (altho this has been lacking since before the m/c now :() and temp low today. We BD'd yesterday and the day before - but wondering whether to try again today. If I thought it was ov time I'd be defo wanting to - but I'm just not so sure. I don't want to wear ourselves out but then I don't want my temp to rise tomorrow and me kick myself for wasting a BD opportunity. Hmmmm, guess I am answering my own question here aren't I..... :o:o If in doubt BD :o:o
 Married my lobster in July 2011

TTC # 2 since Oct 2011 - good things come to those who wait :o

 2013 is going to be our lucky year
  • Hello ladies (and Wigan? are you still with us? hope you're getting on OK)
Lovely work Tinks - very pretty :)
Big hugs for the bfn skintchick - its always disappointing even when you expect it.
Birdie - that's good news, should mean that your baby is coming soon! What's the next step? Just keep trying or is there anything else they can check to reassure you?
Teaandcake - sorry for the bad results but woooo for such a fast appointment, hope they can get it sorted nice and fast for you (or like the others have said its just bad test timing)
Welcome to lots of new ladies too :) 14dpo would be best for testing Nessie but its quite a long wait!
We've got our appointment at the recurrent miscarriage clinic tomorrow which I'm terrified about so laying low for the time being.
Abis - I've been to the gym again today so that's two for me so far this week, only one more to go :) im jealous of zumba, I'll need to get myself booked in for a class!
  • I think I'm quite lucky at the moment Abis as I honestly thought that I wouldn't be seen at all when I first went to my GP but he referred me to the Liverpool Women's straight away (I think it helped that I went in like a crazy bunny boiler with a list of all of my cycles/ ovulation dates that I'd managed to somewhat confirm/ having BD for every cycle every 2-3 days (OH is like the duracell bunny) and having already started losing weight because he couldn't suggest me doing anything that I hadn't already started doing). I'm wary of what will happen next week now as I've only seen my GP and a fertility nurse- maybe the fertility doctor will send me away as my BMI is 27 so I still have some work to go. :/

    Hi ladies,
please can I join? I have lurked on and off for a while & although I'm rubbish at replying as I forget what I want to type by the time I am logged in & read back etc I hope to "talk" to you all soon.

Bit about me- I'm 33, OH is 25. We have been TTC since Oct '12, got a BFP in April but had a missed mc in May :( been trying ever since. Been very difficult also due to my brother's gf getting pregnant after also having a missed mc in Feb. I'm very happy for them but haver found it hard to see her growing bump. My due date was especially hard too.

Fast forward to now- I've been using OPK, used IC for the 1st time in Dec and found them hard to read compared to digital ones so we BD when I thought I had a +OPK, I had a very light "bleed" for approx 3 days in December about 10 days after the + & got it into my head that it was an implantation bleed?! I had no symptoms apart from weeing a lot but I didn't have any symptoms with my last pregnancy. I did a POA at 42 days & it was a BFN, got to 45 days in my cycle (usually 30-34) and AF is here with a vengence! I haven't had this much pain with AF since I was a teenager?! Feeling very sorry for myself as well as being in pain :(
Going to try to be positive though as I cn start tracking again now and if no luck by March me & OH are off to see the GP! Also, it's my Hen do this wkend and seeing as I didn't drink over Christmas "just in case" I was pg I can make up for it now.

Thanks for reading! I'm off out to join WW (bad timing what with the fact I want to eat chocolate all day! lol)

P.s. Please can I be added to your lists? I'm CD2 & we have been using conceive plus for one cycle, thank you.
