Been sat here thinking that if I OVd towards the end of my EWCM not at the start (which is where I normally count it from) then going by what usually happens I wouldn't have been able to get a result till yesterday. So just went upstairs and tested and BFN :(

Wish the witch would just hurry up and arrive!

Sounds like (unless she never arrives of course :)) that using the opks will be really beneficial to you next month so you wont be playing an awful guessing game.

I was thinking earlier - if you have a period every month, then that means when we are ttcing, we spend half of the year  in the 2ww wondering if we are pregnant! No wonder it makes us stressed.

Im desperately trying not to get my hopes up. We only bded 4 days before ov and once the day before so not the best we could have done, BUT normally I get sore boobs after ov, its one of the signs apart from temping and opks that confirms it for me. The only month I didnt get that symptom was when I was pregnant. I mean literally for the 7 cycles we ttced, and then I think about the 7 that we werent, always had sore boobs sometimes really quite painful. I remember thinking the when I was pregnant, well the next time we try I will know from 2-3dpo if Im pregnant or not, because if I get sore boobs it means Im not.

Now Im on 3dpo and no sore boobs. However Im well aware after a miscarriage strange things can happen. But Im checking them every few hours driving myself nuts lol! And if they do get sore later on, then I will be pretty depressed because Ill feel like I know Im out - but Ill be still hoping. On the other hand, if theyre not I will build myself up and then could still end up getting AF!

Ugh....hate this! Really need to just try to think about other stuff but we all know that is impossible :)

    .

This cycle was unusual. Usually I get EWCM for three days, and I count OV as the first day of that and know I can't test till 15DPO using that first day as O.

But this cycle I had EWCM start very early on CD10 and continue for seven days, so that's why I'm not sure this cycle, but usually it is more clear cut.

    I just like POAS! :p

Big hugs Skint, I don't like seeing so many of these >> :(

Just spoken to the GP's office about my scan and blood test and apparently everything is normal. :) I guess we just have to assume it'll happen eventually and keep trying :)

Wish I could poas today, but far too cold to go out and we are skint to the end of the month, only enough money for essentials this month, hate Januarys, Oh's pay package has to last about 6 weeks this month because he got paid before xmas. Not even got any cheapies hidden anywhere.
No symptoms of anything, not even any AF symptoms. Which naturally the later is quite nice. Had a wierd nearly fainting moment on Sunday, but nothing to do with anything.

It's blumming freeeezzziiing here in Lincolnshire. Huddled up on my bed with 5 layers on and the heating and still cold. OH just phoned up as asked me to peal the spuds for tea, no way!!!! I'm not pealing spuds in freezing cold water.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.
  • I've just got my blood results back and it looks like I didn't ovulate so am being referred onto secondary infertility clinic now- luckily got a cancellation for next week! I assume they're going to give me clomid or something to try and kick my ovaries into doing their job. I don't really have any clue as to what the FSH/ LH levels mean though! Any experts out there?

    Day '21'
Progesterone- 23.6 nmol/L (apparently they like it to be over 30 to confirm ovulation)

    Day 4.
    LH- 3.9 u/L
    FSH- 7.0 U/L

Hi TCD - was that day 21 test seven days after ovulation? I'd say a result of 23.6 shows some activity, when I had a truly anovulatory month it was 3. I then had a month where I had an LH surge but prog was 16 - I think it is possible to ovulate an immature egg and then you don't get a big progesterone rise, so you wouldn't be able to get pregnant but it's not like your ovaries are completely asleep that month - a bit lazy perhaps!
The other things is whether or not it is 7 days after ovulation as it could be rising or falling if you don't catch the peak.

Sorry don't know about the other figures
  • I agree with an9i77, the problem with doing day 21 bloods is that they act on a average cycle of 28 days. If you ovu later any not much DPO the results are fine.
Your last ff chart says you thought you ovu on day 26? not 21.
Had to have my repeated because it was done DPO 4, but it was CD21 at the time (did tell them), that showed 27

Am getting a really good service from my GP. She phoned today, to say me and OH will be referred together for appoinments.
Thank her loads and loads for all her help

    Hi all,

    Can i join you?

5DPO here - funny cramping like pains yesterday & today - but not sure if it is just gas :-/

Been TTC for approx 3 cycles - came of depo April 2012 - AF came back with a vengence in September (obviously paid me back for not having one in 8 years!) First cycle was 38 days, then 43days with 11day luteal phase, and currently on day 23, 5DPO

BD was timed well this cycle - considering FF wasn't showing me ovulating until next week!

Not doing any OPK's - just BBT & CM

When do you reckon i should POAS first?

My 3 progesterone results have all been less than 1.2. I would have thought that 23.6 shows clear ovulation but of course, I'm not a GP.

My consultant said they liked to see 15+ for non-medicated cycles, and 30+ for someone on clomid or the like.

Birdie - good news about your test results :)

Teandcake - hmm sorry to hear about your test results. I think you got good advice from the others. I hope they can investigate further at your appointment next week. At least that's not too far away. Big ((((hugs))))

Vesper - :rotfl: about the spuds!

Good vibes - great that your GP is helping you out. Hope you can get all the answers you need.

Welcome Nessie! I just did my first POAS yesterday so am no expert on that unfortunately. But I found this site interesting reading.

Seems like lots of us have reluctant AFs this month :p. I'm hopeful for a big show of BFPs early next week. I'm going to test Monday if AF doesn't show up by then.
