  • Wow Welsh Comic, the test line stole all the ink from the control line ! That is a BBBBBBBFP ! Such brilliant news, i'm so happy for you !

I can't remeber who said about that fact that if someone who didn't want to get pregnant said that had BD every day for a week around ov, then i'd tell them they should DEFO get the morning after pill. But that's what I did, and i'm sceptical about my chances of being preggers !

I think those stats that someone put up are quite accurate, i've heard those in a documentary before. So many people have children though, so it is possible, even though it feels like that stats are stacked against us !! :rotfl:

Congratulations Welsh Cosmic! :j How long have you been trying? :)

CBFM gave me a peak this morning, on CD13?! What the flip?! I'd considered making OH BD last night but he still couldn't be bothered (tired, ill etc) but I didn't think it was a big deal so left him be... maybe I should've pushed harder! :o Will have to fit in a lunchtime session! So confused as to why I've got a peak so early though?! :o

  • hi all. Ive been having cramps since Fri afternoon, so been expecting AF but no sign. My cycles are bit irregular but last period started 13 Dec so figure I'd be due on about now. Nipples are sore to touch and I've noticed a couple of raised bumps on each one. Is it worth getting a test? I'm at my inlaws on holiday so would need to sneak out and buy one lol, getting privacy or a moments peace is very hard here ha ha!

Haven't had a chance to catch up with thread as I only have access on my phone hugs to anyone who needs them!

Its always worth getting a test if you are late on. When I was five weeks pregnant with my son, so only about a week after I found out I was pregnant, I got really bad cramps and was convinced I was miscarrying but I wasn't, the midwife said it was just my womb rearraning itslef. So cramps don't necessarily mean AF is on the way.

Congrats Welsh Cosmic! Great test picture. Hope you have a dull & boring 9 months :D

I got myself into a bit of a sorry state last night watching back to back episodes of One Born Every Minute on 4OD. Not doing that again. Couldn't believe though the number of accidental pregnancies. How on earth do they all manage it?!

To be honest I would hazard a guess that at least 95% of these 'accidental' pregnancies were not accidental at all ;).....

Good luck to all of you,
I found that really understanding my body really helped me getting pregnant. I wished that I invested in understanding this better sonner. For me duofertility was the solution, but I am sure that you can get this sort of information from a natural family planning specialist too.
I didn't find that the clearblue monitor and bbt charting was enough for me.
I found this book quite good: Fertility: Fertility Awareness and Natural Family Planning

Claire 16, I think that the stats that you quote are correct, but it is hard to know when you ovulate as not all women ovulate on the same day every cycle.

I ovulate on a different day each month & I find it easy to know when I ovulate. That's what opks, checking cm & temping is for. Are you just here to advertise a book?

Maybe it's your lucky month and you're just ovulating much earlier than normal?

If you are going home in a couple of days & it would be hard to do, if I was you I know I'd just wait. But there's no harm in doing a test!

Yeah, I wonder if the fact that I've had loads of CM (due to being full of cold) has kind of confused my body into early OV? If that is the case I'm so pleased I started using my CBFM this month so I found out! :) OH is on standby for lunchtime BD! :D

    No doubt that goes on.

Also, couples who have been having sex without protection or using unreliable prevention methods for years, who are suddenly suprised when they 'accidently' fall pregnant.

If you're having sex without protection you are trying for a baby, so don't feign suprise if a pregnancy occurs!!
