Hi everyone,
I have been lurking on this thread for a while and thought I should join as I could do with some advice. I came of the pill in April 2012 and we have been ttc since then although we weren't really trying until a couple of months ago. I am now 8 days late and have taken 3 pregnancy tests all of which were negative. I am normally really regular so I don't understand what's going on. My last af started on the 7th December. Could it be too early to test still ? Any help appreciated x

nic - sounds like you've still done enough. Fingers crossed.

It's not CD1 just yet. Aunt Flo likes to send her minions cramping and spotting along few days before with her luggage. The spotting seemed to have stopped so I cracked and took a FRER but it was a BFN as usual.

I use it every time I BD during BD week which is generally days 12 - one day po, every alternate day (or every day if we have the energy)

This happened to me the first month I started really trying, I was confused but had a progesterone test done at the doctors which showed I hadn't ovulated at all, this can make your period late as it isn't a proper period. I eventually came on at day 35 but was very light bleeding.
If you are 8 days late I think if you were pregnant you'd have seen it on a test by now. If you don't come on soon you can go to the doctor and get a pill to make you come on.

are you tracking ovulation? could be that you ovulated later this cycle or not at all, which is nothing to worry about, every so often all women have an anovulatory cycle.

a week late should be giving very strong positives but there's the very rare lady for who it never shows up. you can ask your gp for a blood HcG test if you think you have pg symptoms

Ah my friend is doing a similar thing, plus her boyfriend is a carpenter so hes doing all the work at no cost for a lot of stuff. Think it will be great when its done. Me and DH are too lazy and unskilled though for anything like that :rotfl:
