Well, they are mainly awesome cos they have been breastfeeding for three-and-a-half years. I don't think I ever wish I didn't have them - I know too well what it is to have a flat chest.
I didnt know you could breast feed after a boob job. Hmm...:D0 -
Hugs to COMP, you are absolutely allowed to have a good old whinge in here.
Tea & Cake - good luck for the blood results.
Mrs TM/TeamLowe/Skintchick - Love the idea of boobies constantly getting in the way. I had no idea you could breast feed after having a boob job! If I had the money I'd have an uplift. Mine are only smallish (36B) and I really wouldn't want any bigger but I'd like them to point up instead of down
AFM. FF gave me crosshairs this morning on CD16, but I really don't think that's right as I barely had a rise. In fact I think I ov'd yesterday so Becca can I be updated to 1DPO please? Still really not sure that's right though but I did rise to above my usual coverline this morning.0 -
Becca please can you put me as 1dpo today, thanks0

Big hugs for CD1 COMP
If you want to rant we're all here to lend a sympathetic (virtual) shoulder to cry on!
Mrs T_M, I wish I had boobs to worry about! I'd love mine to be a bit bigger to balance out my bum and hips, and finally give me the hourglass figure I crave!
I was at my Mum's last night and she was showing me the little outfits she's bought for my brother's LO, they're so cute and so small I had to work really hard not to cry because I don't have a person small enough to fit into teeny tiny dungarees.
CBFM has given me a high today? I assumed I'd be stuck on lows for another week?! Thanks for the tip about ebay for test sticks BeccaAnd thanks for the lists, you're a star!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

hello all, is there room for another one on the thread?! I've been lurking for a while, and posting on the waiting for TTC thread, but yesterday DH finally said yes to trying properly! :j
I came off the pill in August after about 9 years, we used withdrawl method for a bit (didn't last long lol), so have been NTNP since then really. My cycles are a bit all over the place, to be expected after so long on the pill (and were really irregular before I went on it). I've not been temping or using OPKs or anything yet, but I recon AF is due in the next couple of days. When I first came off the pill, I had lots of EWCM each month so knew roughly when I was ovulating, but this hasn't happened the past 2 months (but have had a cold both times when I was expecting it so that may be why). I don't think I'm going to start temping or anything quite yet, going to give it a couple of months of just BD'ing a lot lol!0 -
Hi bride to be! Lots of us have weird cycles on here so you won't be alone! I find ewcm can be different each month too. I think our bodies must have fun driving us crazy each month wondering what's going on!0

Hi all,
Welcome new ttcersand *hugs* to those the witch has caught.
OH hormone tests come back norma, so he has been referred on now. Been told it should be about 3 months
Got my repeat CD21 bloods tomorrow as the last one worked out at only DPO 4, but they were within range.
Am lucky in the fact I can get my bloods works done at work.
Have a good day all0 -
I didnt know you could breast feed after a boob job. Hmm...:D
You can!
I had mine enlarged from less than AA to a D cup (which went up to a G during pregnancy! But they did go back to a D after I introduced solids at six months.) and fed DD exclusively for six months and have continued to feed her alongside solids and drinks for a further three years and counting, so I am proof.
In fact, a breast enlargement shouldn't affect breastfeeding because the implant is being put behind the breast tissue. If your implants are under the muscle then there should be no issues at all, and if they are over the muscle sometimes some of the breast tissue can be damaged, but most surgeons will work hard to leave the breast tissue untouched.
Even if there is damage to some breast tissue and the loss of some milk ducts, as there lots of milk ducts per breast, even the loss of half of them (which would not happen with a breast enlargement but could happen with other breast surgery) you would still be able to produce milk.
Each milk duct has its own tube to the nipple and milk comes out of a number of holes around the sides of the nipple, NOT out of one single hole in the middle. Surprising but true.
And as the whole system works on supply and demand (baby tells breasts what it wants and they make them) there should still be no issues with inadequate supply.
Of course, there are always exceptions to any rule, but in general you can be confident that with most breast surgery you will still be able to breastfeed afterwards.
With reductions, it is different because obviously you rea removing breast tissue, and that tissue is where the milk ducts live. If the milk ducts are removed then they are not there to be able to make milk.
In addition, if they remove the nipple and then sew it back on (which looks better afterwards) then the tubes along which the milk travels from ducts to nipple and have been severed, and it is highly unlikely they will manage to reconnect afterwards, so there is no way of the milk getting out.
If the nipple is simply reposition but left attached during surgery (which doesn't looks so pretty afterwards apparently) you avoid this scenario, and then it is a case of seeing what happens when baby feeds - some mums will have enough breast tissue and milk ducts left to make sufficient milk and some won't.
In the case of making some milk but not enough, mum can then mix feed and supplement with donor milk or formula.
So in fact, unless you are unable to make any milk at all after a reduction, you can still do some breastfeeding if you want to.
This picture helps you understand the anatomy of the breast better which will probably help it make sense.
Our bodies are amazeballs! It's like anything - expect to be able to do it and you will, expect not to be able to and it's likely you won't. Only 1 per cent of women cannot breastfeed because of a medical issue, everyone else just needs the right support (assuming they want to do it of course).
