Should be ov Friday and really wanted to bd tonight & tomorrow. He has informed me he is on his works night out tomorrow Which means he will be too drunk. It's frustrating. And I'm now in the other room as he don't know what he has done to upset me.

I found with my OH (we had many a conversation about this over the last year) that they don't really want to know when they HAVE to do it. Sometimes it's best to keep the 'right time' to yourself and just pounce on him

Katy29, think I had a month like you in the eary ttc days. Know they don't understand and think it happens like magic. Nearly 9 months later my OH is always keeping track of my cycles and shows loads of interest.

Oh Claire I'm so sorry, its totally heartbreaking. Be kind to yourself, I think you're right you never get over it but it does become less raw with time. Thinking of you x

yes, unbelievable stress!!

what subject area is your PhD in? i'm in developmental psyc - data collection is almost finished and in the middle of starting to write papers. my research topic is parenting - quite frustrating when you want a baby yourself and it isn't happening!

as i said before, am now on TTC break as if i fell pregnant now i wouldn't have baby til after PhD and then not be entilted to any maternity leave... and i can't live on thin air!!

Hi ladies, hope you are all doing okay. Popping back in for a bit of advice (I hope this is okay!). One of my best friends has PCOS and has been ttc with her husband for the last 12 months. I haven't mentioned anything about my BFP but she knows we were trying. It's her bday night out tomorrow and as I won't be drinking she will at least suspect. I don't want to tell her at her night out, in case she is upset but I also don't want her thinking I am hiding it from her either IYSWIM.

I am leaning towards calling her this evening and letting her know, that way if she is upset etc she can have some privacy to deal with. She really is very important friend and I want to handle this as sensitively as possible.

Does my plan seem okay or do any of you ladies have any advice on a better way to handle it?
