Still feeling rotten after my appendectomy, thought I'd be better by now, so no BD for us

I've just started taking bromocriptine for raised prolactin (used to take a different drug) and its making me incredibly sleepy! My doctor thinks it'll make getting pregnant easier though. Fingers crossed.

QQ - Big hugs. I don't think I have anything I could send to DH to show him how much I love him - he should just know Its so hard when he won't accept / return phone calls etc. I think the only thing to do is to leave it for him to calm down over the next couple of days and try contact again after that, but if he is feeling negatively maybe he will think you not contacting him 're-inforces his views that you don't love him'??? I don't know. I don't think I want to know how a mans mind works - but sometimes it would be very useful if we had more of a clue

Vesper - Hugs for your bad time of things too. Did you phone the samaritans? As others have said, realising you need help is a major big part of things so thats good that you were able to recognise it. You are welcome to chat or vent here any time you like. I think I would carry on TTC too to be honest. I don't see how much good it would do to stop doing something that has the chance to make you very very happy.

Atton - I didn't mean to upset or offend you about the CM situation. I have never heard of it being a BFP sign before thats all Hugs for your friend. I would just send a message back saying given your circumstances of TTC for 12 years and struggling that perhaps you are not the best person to ask. Hope your DH arranges his SA soon. Think a lot of chaps put that kind of thing off as they get embarrassed.

Anderson - Congratulations What a nice holiday present

AFM - Took temp this morning, and look to be in the 2ww looking at last time I temped. My coverline last time was about 36.33 and this morning is was 36.67. So maybe that second +ve OPK was the right one and maybe I am 4DPO or whatever it is now. I've put all the tests away for the time being tho - just gonna try n go with the flow. If I did ov on the second +OPK then I think we only DTD once, so probs not enough anyways - sigh. Wonder why I have to have a long cycle tho after doing so nicely with my shorter cycles recently

we thought we'd lost our little cat last night. I put her out as usual to go to the toilet, but when I went to let her back in (no cat flap), there was no sign. Didn't think too much of it, but got increasingly concerned as the evening got later and more bl00dy fireworks started going off. :mad:

Honestly, I do love a firework display, but !!!!!! it's been about 3 weeks of it now, and last night (being Diwali) it was so loud it sounded like World war 3 outside!

No sign of Daisy, and given how terrified she is of everything, we were really upset and worried that she'd run off and wouldn't come back

Thankfully she did reappear late after all the noise had stopped. I have never been so glad to see her. I'll be keeping her securely in for the rest of this week I think.

Nearly had a crash on the way into work this morning too. Honestly, I'm not being funny but men drivers really are the worst! Everytime something happens on my commute, it's 99.999% guaranteed to be an idiot man at the wheel. had a bit of an altercation with the idiot who nearly hit me cutting me up to get onto the M25 this morning, and was a bit shaken that it could have been a nasty crash.

Ummm..so that's me ranting on..sorry.

Hope everyone who is down feels better soon. My mother swears that November is the sadest month of the lot (something to do with Paganism..my mum's into all that New Age stuff)

You know you're TTC when...

- the Big 'O' no longer refers to orgasm, but instead to ovulation

- you show everyone who will look at your bbt charts
- every twinge is a potential sign: ovulation pain OR perhaps implantation

- it no longer strikes you as the least bit odd to check out at the pharmacy with both HPTs and tampons in your cart.

- you schedule your social diary around your ovulation day

- if your OPK comes up +, you cancel all social engagements that night so you can BD & lie with your legs elevated and butt up in the air afterwards

- you talk using mysterious acronymns that only your ttc buddies understand: ttc, BD, ewcm, bbt, opk, 2ww

- your morning motto is: "Don't talk to me until I've taken my temperature"

- you take your temperature more than once a day (committed TTCer)

- you refuse to finish decorating that 3rd bedroom in your new house, because you can't stand the thought of getting it just the way you want it only to have to tear it apart next month in order to make room for the nursery you'll be needing.

- you put off buying any fall/winter clothes, because you hope they won't fit by the time the weather gets cooler.

- your doctor says, "Now take these home and inject this needle into your stomach every day" and you don't even flinch.

- you spend more on OPKs, HPTs, and fertility supplements than you do on clothes

- the thought of nausea makes your heart skip a beat!

- you make a mental note of what day of your cycle it is before you say "ok" to a drink

- you get sick but make sure you can take the medicine in case you are pregnant...and would rather stay sick if you can't take the medicine..

- you finally look forward to mornings! Another opportunity to take and record your temp!

- you refer (and think) of your husband, not as his real name, but as the letters "DH" in real life

- you suffer silently from Line Eye (LE) - defined as the ability to see pink lines that nobody else can see. It's a very common condition among POASers during the days leading up to the official test day. Research is still being done, but at present there is no cure for it!
