I haven't started charting or anything like that yet. I was thinking I would see how we get on the first couple of months and see then start if it doesn't happen. Or do you think I should start now?

Hello :j I very much love cake too.... you could be my soulmate lol!

FWIW, I'd keep it very low key for now. It's perfectly normal for it to take a few months, or up to a year even, to get pg - even with everything in full working order. Once you do get into the realms of temping, charting, peeing on things etc. it can take over... and it can be quite difficult to stop them again.

I don't know how old you are, but if you're not really up against it age-wise I'd suggest you go with the flow for now at least. Just be sensible about it - folic acid is a must, make sure your diet is reasonably healthy, cut down on alcohol (if you need to) then just get jiggy a few times each week.

Bst of luck with it all :)

Tea and cake! :) My fave! Lol! Thanks for the tips! I'm (nearly) 29 so not really feeling the pressure - I think we will just take it as it comes for now. I started folic acid when I came off the pill, even though we were using condoms until after the wedding you never know - they can split etc. I take it in a multi vitamin tablet and a total bonus is that I feel way more healthy because of the vitamins. I usually get all the bugs that are going around and am really prone to throat infections, but since taking the vitamins I've felt great! (touch wood!)

I've been cutting out alcohol each month until AF appears and then I've had a few drinks :) So this month I'm T-total until the 25th-ish which is a bit of a bummer coz it's my birthday on Sunday or if I do get pregnant I'll be T-total for 9 months! Lol! OH is cutting down in support which is nice! I do think i need to up my fruit intake and maybe decrease my sugar intake, but my diet is pretty healthy otherwise...

Thanks again for the tips! :)

lovecake - welcome to the thread :j

don't believe everything tealover says, she actually prefers coffee...

It's a bit of a madhouse here, but a fantastic place for support and advice and having a laugh about lots of things too :) Hope your stay will be short and sweet, the relaxed approach is a great way to start and I hope it will work for you! :)

Welcome lovecake & toothfairy - hope your stays here are short and sweet.

Teamlowe have you tested? I know you were confused about ov this month - but its a long cycle for you??

I am in a super dooper mood - I have got a new car :j:j:j I've been on my push bike for over a year now to save money, and was dreading another winter on it. I've hated the lack of independance and having to rely on other people etc, so I am ridiculously excited!! When I say new - its 12 years old - but its YELLOW :T:T My favourite colour :D So happy :j:j
