Thank you! I will be 29 on Sunday
Just trying to get to grips with all the crazy acronyms you all use so fluently

Welcome lovecake.
There is a list I think of all teh abbreviations on the front page.
Don't worry, you'll be fluent in them in no time!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Hi love cakes you'll get used to the acronyms in no time, I'm quite new on here too and everyone is lovely and helpful if you ever have any questions.
Hugs for af Elsie and general hugs to anyone else who needs them.
I think I need a stern telling off QQ I'm only in my first month of trying and I'm symptom spotting already! I had a tiny bit of spotting and some super mild cramps then nothing and I also feel a bit queezy at the mo.
sensible part of my brain is saying first cycle off the pill/ stressful week at work = plausible explanation but the crazy part of my brain is in baby la la what if land!0 -
Hugs. When we got the clomid prescription (for 6 months) and then an appt at the end of November I thought there was no way we'd be going to it. I stupidly thought clomid meant you automatically ov'd about CD14, so we'd have 6 tries before the appt and it was bound to work. I've managed to ov once (BFN) and nothing since then. It's so frustrating knowing that we will need the appt after all.... and no doubt lots more after that too. Am seriously starting to wonder if I've got the energy left to carry on with this.
claire - glad you managed to DTD in the end. We totally cba with it right now. We haven't bothered since sunday. I just don't see the point of it, which I know is a horrible thing to say!
lilymay - hope your tummy's feeling better soon. Good luck for the HSG.
QQ - hope work are treating you well, I hope they realise how much you're needed here lol!
I know terrible isnt it, but that seems to be what ttc does to you.firefly369 wrote: »Morning Everyone,
Applepie - Congratulations on the engagement:beer:
Claire - I know just how you feel. I O so late in my cycle that we are exhausted and definately fiinding it difficult sometimes to get in the mood by the time I do finally O. I have pee'd on bags of OPK sticks trying to pinpoint O in advance so we don't have to have to keep putting ourselves under such pressure for weeks at a time but OPKs just don't seem to work, or maybe I should try a different brand.
Lilymay - Big Big Hugs. Hope you are feeling better soon.
LTL - I am behaving like I have PMT at the mo. Was in a right mood yesterday evening for no apparent reason but I haven't even o'd yet:eek:
Tealover - so sorry clomid didn't work for you. Perhaps at the next appointment you will get something else that will be more helpful. You are a very strong lady, I am sure you can make it through this perhaps you just need a rest to regroup before your next appointment. (hugs)
MV - Sending you a get well soon hug.
Birdie - Families will drive you crazy. Take a deep breathe....and [STRIKE]relax[/STRIKE] scream:rotfl:
Becca - hope you are doing OK.
QQ - you do such a great job and clearly we are lost without you.
Nothing much happening here. OH has had his first SA and has the second one booked....didn't know he had to do it twice. My blood test is booked for 19th and now it is just waiting waiting waiting for O. (sigh)
Luckily opks work for me. Its knowing when to do them is the tricky part! Thank goodness they do or I would have gone mad when I had a 53 days cycle :rotfl:Maire, i'm so so pleased for you! do you think you're in with a chance or just happy that everything's settling down?
thanks for your kind words ladies, it's good to have people who understand the fustration. when i wasn't trying i loved the fact that i would go so long without a period, the occasional cheap pregnancy test when i got paranoid and i was fine! lol
even more fustratingly, i've been full of snotty, yellowy discharge (tmi sorry) until this morning and i've woke up this morning to find that it's gone EWCM, it's soooo clear it's like glass!
SO am i going to ovulate? does anyone know? honestly, i'll take best guesses at this point :rotfl:
so i'm in a pickle, i need to know what my body's doing but also i don't want to waste an opportunity if there is one. so i'm half and half about BDing as i don't want his, umm contribution clouding things. i think i'll leave things for now, maybe temp a few days (although i'm pretty sure my thermometer is broken), BDing in the next few evenings and then see where we stand next weekend. it's only a week, right? xx
I think you should bd right now if youve got ewcm!! dont worry about his contribution messing it up, youve seen it so get on it!:rotfl:0 -
I agree with claire, Teamlowe. Get BD'ing! Your EWCM sounds tip top!
The reason we bd'd on CD10 was because I had a massive glob of EWCM..honestly I never thought I'd see the day when the extretions from my nether regions would cause so much interest/excitement! :rotfl:Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

First month is the worst though, hope you caught it:oMetranil_Vavin wrote: »I never thought I'd see the day when the extretions from my nether regions would cause so much interest/excitement! :rotfl:0 -
Thanks QQ I hope a bit of beginners luck comes into play for me! Meanwhile I'll try not to drive myself too crazy.0

Hi all,
Just (rather pathetically) checking in on holidays. Super tired from endless hours of sightseeing, but at least its all exercise.
QQ, could you change me to 1dpo, based only on the dates as very few symptoms , apart from some very random spotting that has never happened to me around this time before. I'm actually a bit sick, ironically with a chesty cough and I don't have the pregnancy cough syrup with me! I think the cough and slight temperature that comes and goes are making me very tired but I am ignoring them while walking for hours in the heat! Maybe my body has gone on ov strike in complaint.
Hugs, congrats and good luck to everyone that needs them.0 -

Oh I know. And I only noticed mine the other night because I went to pee before bed and saw it, I didnt want to tell DH why though incase it grossed him out, so I just said there was a sign so we had to do it! So then I was thinking what if I hadnt gone to the loo then I wouldnt have known and we wouldnt have bd!
Mind you the spot on my chin was also a giveaway :rotfl:
Then the next day he was like 'what was the sign, did you pee on a stick?' I said 'No just...err something, you dont need to know.' lol!0 -
LOL Claire
Good news for you teamlowe.
Welcome lovecakes.
Yay at last a smile on OPK, bit late for me in cycle. But have notice loads of EWCM last days ( dripping as some as the ladies say on here). Told OH and showed him now he showing more interest in the working of things. Bless him, he went straight on google and gave me a lesson on ovu ( didn't have the heart to tell him I already know these things).0
