    Congratulations Niknok :)

Huge hugs to the ladies who need them.

I'm going to test tomorrow if AF doesn't arrive tonight. Think she is on her way though as b o o bs not so sore today, but still feel weird. If she's coming I'd like her to come quickly as at least then I can join hubby in birthday drink Saturday - though I'd much rather celebrate with a BFP....Will update once I've tested in morning xx

Bittersweet news today - sorry to hear your news MV :(

Congrats niknok, hope its a sticky! :j

littleme, I often get (leftovers) 24 hours afterwards, for some reason I don't see any the morning after or anything like that. But still, as QQ says, if in doubt, BD!

I really don't get the I didn't know I was pregnant stories either - even if you continued to get your period every month, what about the bump??? And other symptoms? Maybe we are all just hyperaware of it, and other 'normal' people wouldn't notice as much as we would..:rotfl:

Yeah I dont get it. Normally I dont even believe the stories but the thing about the army one, is that every one I know there would do anything to get home, so if you knew you were pregnant youd tell someone! I just dont get how you can get an entire baby growing in you and not notice I mean your stomach would be sticking out??

Well I'm glad yesterday is over. Was in the most horrendous pain yesterday, took codeine, Tramadol, paracetamol, aspirin and oxycodone all together and I could still feel it all >.< Spent the entire day stuck lying down on the sofa with a hot water bottle, was in so much pain I couldn't even get bored

Finally went away at 2am when (TMI) I passed a clot that was bigger than a golf ball :eek::eek: I seem to be ok today though, much I'm much heavier than usual. Normally go through 1-2 pads a day, now it's one every couple of hours.

That sounds a bit scary!? are you able to take all that stuff at once? Maybe you should see a doctor tomorrow?

Its weird because three days after i saw the consultant who said I was ok to try again, my coil fell out completely of its own accord! Very spooky...saved me a trip to the contraceptive clinic (they always try and push condoms on you there, even when you say you are coming off contraception to TTC. Well that's what happened last time. Not quite sure what they think I could do with them.)

I really wasn't expecting to be told that I was safe to try again until January at least so I've no idea where I am in my cycle, guess I'll just wait to come on again and start counting then.

Do you ladies use predictor sticks/kits? And if so which ones are good?

    Thanks

I use ones from Home Health - type it in google it will come up, I think they sell through amazon too. Theyre very cheap!

I can believe the not getting big bit of not knowing you're pregnant, my cousin looked about 3 months when she was full term with her second who was very healthy, she had to have her amniotic fluid monitored but the doctors seemed to think its just one of those things, baby can lie really far back, almost up under your rib cage

In a way I can see the lady soldier not knowing more than a 'normal person',I'm sure she had a lot on her mind and just no time to think very long about any symptoms x x

  • Congrats to NikNok - here's to a great 9 months ahead :j
Big hugs to BB and MV - sorry to hear your news :(

Why is that when you are on a high that something always comes along to knock you off your perch - had a great couple of days in work (a victory in itself as not really been enjoying it lately) and then something has just upset me tonight and I'm feeling really annoyed! Wont go into details - just wanted a slight vent!!

I just wish I was the sort of person that could brush things off more easily without letting them get me down :o
  • On a better note though, my body seems to have settled down with my meds, and having been on a low GI diet for the last few days am feeling a lot more healthy than I have done lately!! Onwards and upwards!!

Got to think of the positives xx

    Evening ladies,

So sorry to hear you news MV. This journey is so full of high highs, and low lows... enjoy some wine and chocolates, and hopefully some hugs from you OH.

And congrats to Niknok. Hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy. :)

I am going ok with my new 'chill out and get pregnant' approach, well - except the second part! Had a much better day, and treated myself to a facial (first time in about 2 years) and forgot how relaxing that can be.

Squirrel, hope tomorrow is a better day! I have also been eating better and feel better for it. I am even planning to join a gym near work - although I haven't actually done it yet. Lets see if I bite the bullet and start the road to getting a bit more fit again.
  • Thinking again - could you take me off the testing list altogether please? Not sure I'll still be in the running at the weekend

Just found this interesting link about preconception and diet, and other lifestyle factors

    http://www.foresight-preconception.org.uk/

made me think about my lifestyle - i certainly dont get any exercise really, and drink far too much tea!

Think I will review certain aspects of my life when we start TTc again in Nov - can't hurt!

time2deal i have enjoyed taking the laid back approach to TTC in the last few months more than the first few months where I was OPKing, POASing, temping, CM checking etc - obv I didnt get pregnant yet through it, but its certainly a better way to TTC I think!

angi you can buy cheap OPK sticks from eBay and I think amazon too - you can buy digital OPKs which take the guesswork out a bit, but its good to start with the basic ones I think to get a feel for whats going on with your hormones etc
We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic. ;)

    Debt at LBM (Sep 07): £13,500. Current debt: [STRIKE]£680[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£480[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£560[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£13[/STRIKE] £0 overdraft :D
Current aims - to start building up savings
    1st £1000 in 100 days - £1178.03 :D 2nd £1053.38/£1000 :D 3rd £863.59/£1000 :o

  • Morning ladies.

MV: so sorry to hear you're on CD1... hope you're ok.

Razwaz - eek! That sounds horrendous. I thought I had bad periods but I feel quite lucky after reading that!

I'm on CD12 today and tested this morning... BFN. I wasn't too surprised, after all it is our first month of trying, still a bit disappointed though. I won't try again unless AF doesn't show up (due on Monday).
