I wonder if I could buy a second hand 'wand' FS uses:think:
    I bet it's mega expensive though:o

Problem with that is it'd be impossible to use on yourself, and there's no way I'd be trusting OH with it!

Thanks for your support ladies. I thought I was going to be told to wait til he said he is definitely ready, by which time I'll have gone through menopause and have a plastic hip. :rotfl:

Ok here's a question. Which is better: preseed or conceive plus? Thinking an extra bit of lubrication might help the swimmers get on their way...

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: TV scanner from ebay  Amazing!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Maybe I should just buy one of them instead of paying for a private FS consultation?

I was just starting to feel a bit worried about the whole PCOS thing and not really understanding what's going on... and I thought I'd come on here to have a little whinge...

..and now I'm just wetting myself laughing! Love this thread!

Abis - catalogue baby sounds great, the babies modelling stuff are always very cute! I'm liking the green wee idea. (well, kind of..!)

tea/coffee - fingers crossed for ovulation this week

code - we occasionally use conceive plus, and it's fine, but only use a really small amount otherwise you *ahem* won't get enough friction...

    Hi ladies,

Can't stop as I am having childcare issues.

I'm not pregnant, but have really messed up my cycles with this bl00dy soy. What do u lot suggest I do? Wait for AF to arrive, or go and speak to a GP and see what they say? I'm actually quite upset that i've messed with things.

Nik - That test looks exactly like the test sticks for the CBFM! Hope its a bfp anyway :)

MrsJ - Just read your rubbish news about pcos and no referal. That is royally rubbish :( Are you going to go private do you think? Good luck with what ever you do :)

Massive hugs to anyone who needs them. I could do with some love :(

Thanks BZ, always lovely to hear from you. Hope you're doing ok and have recovered from the HSG x.
    Thanks Tea :)
I had recovered from the HSG...so I decided I really should come off the progesterone (they put me on it to stop the bleeding so I could have the HSG - although I did still bleed it wasn't too much to stop it happening - I should've stopped it the day of the HSG but I couldn't face it :o) ...now I'm reeeeally suffering :( I'm in so much pain I'm doubled over and almost puking _pale_ I see the GP on thursday and I'm hoping he'll tell me I can go back on it/something to stop the bleeding again. It's not like I can get pg with tubes like mine anyway ;):o

ETA: sorry your ovaries aren't playing nicely with Clomid. Remember they start you on a relatively small dose, so there's room for improvement. Good luck with the rest of this cycle, but maybe the next dose will do the trick? :)

BZ - thanks so much for the good advice, very much appreciated. It's so easy to think 'a problem's been identified, I'll get the right treatment, and I'll be pregnant soon' but of course in reality it's very different. Hope you are doing ok, it's lovely to hear from you on this thread, we miss you!
It is a tricky one, I don't like to post too much on this thread because I think it's (rightfully) more ...hopeful? (for lack of another word?) than the 12m+ thread and I don't want to just moan all over that :o It is really hard to have known I had one problem (PCOS) that I thought I was fighting and that when I got to see the FS, at the right weight, I'd get clomid and either that might work or we'd move on to other options. The news of the blocked tubes has completely knocked me and DH sideways, completely and utterly. :(:o Maybe we were naive to begin with, maybe we were hopeful, I don't know. It's frustrating that we've had a futile almost 2yrs ttc/ntnp...but we didn't know that then.

I am rather envious of your chance to go privately to an FS though :p

Anyway, my point was, I don't know how much to post on here, cos I don't want to be all doom and gloom/freak out newbies who (rightfully) are hopeful. The odds are in favour of the fertiles after all, but it's also work remembering that it's "normal" to take a year to get pg even with no problems :)

    I think I'm rambling now though :p
    ^ What she said ;)
I miss you guys too :D I still check in on you guys a lot, and wish you would post more COMP! You have more to offer than you protest.:naughty: I end up having to stalk you on the WTTC too (and you, Euro! I've not forgotten you either! :p) ;)

ETA: Lemon, I'm keeping my eye out for your sticky bean news ;)

Big ((hugs)) - try not to worry too much (I know, I know, easier said than done!). You are only 13DPO and an average LP is 14 days - I'm pretty sure anything from 12 - 16 (and quite possibly a wider range) is considered completely normal!

Hope the childcare issue is sorted soon!

    Found it on ebay:p
£900 from China. If anyone wants to look, go to ebay and search for 'trans vaginal scanner':D

:rotfl::rotfl: Obviously I did just have to check, and also google it to see if I could find it cheaper :money: My internet history is going to look very odd now!!

I would just hang tight for a while yet. Like Mrs(not)J says - you are only 13dpo at the mo. So no need to totally panick or stress. You wanted to lengthen your luetal phase and thats happened :T It might not be a BFP this month, but it does seem to be helping you. I wouldn't be hard on yourself or anything - you never know it might still pay off. I'm sure 2b and tattoo were both saying the same as you and so frustrated waiting for AF, but got their BFP's instead. Have a little faith and patience :o

I think you should still post on here :D:D When I was first trying, I didn't really worry by any other ladies who were trying after losses or struggling. I was so overly optimistic and naive and thought everything would be just peachy. So it didn't put me off if people were struggling etc. It might also help people to be more realistic about how difficult a journey it can be for some people. Hugs for being in pain. Will they be operating to clear your tubes? Did they give you a timescale to work towards?

  • Lordy Zippy, so sorry you are having such a horrible time :( I for one want you to keep posting though. You're certainly not freaking me out, and I'm sure there are loads of folk on here who want to hear how things are going for you x

Lily - sorry to hear about the BFN. Here's to September x
