Good evening to anyone still awake. I don't know what has been more stressful, reading today's thread or my day at w***!

I have a new child in my class who is showing some signs of autistic behaviour so I've have a busy day today. We made loads of chocolate crispy cakes for our Easter baskets and the children had great fun licking the chocolate off their fingers (after making the cakes of course).
After w*** I took DDs to my parents for tea, so no cooking to do today! :j
The WM is still on as I didn't get home until after 7 so not much OS to report on today.
    Good night.

    PS Aime399 Please stay!

I've just come back and skimmed over this thread.

If anything, what this little argument shows is the necessity of the arms and dt boards, because people DO tend eventually to post one liners and idle small talk. If we left only the serious money boards, this sort of spat would be rife all over the forums.

yes quasar you are right (as always:D ) but for some reason some OS people are scared of the arms and therefore to accommodate them maybe there is a place for an OS chat room like the Money savers arms thread  like a coffee shop maybe:rotfl: what goes around comes around eh:o

Anyway I am sad we have had to have a row today as normally its so pleasant in here but on the other hand as queenie said things like this come round on a regular basis so hopefully it should settle tomorrow with our new guidelines from the BGs

And if anyone wants to come into the arms for the first time but is nervous I am happy to be your posting mate for the first time if need be - they really are an ok bunch:o

Look Nels, I know I'm very ugly, but peeps needn't be scared...:o :o;):p

It;s just a matter of taking the plunge. Some chat is silly, some is funny, and some users are very welcoming while others are quieter. I'm sure that given a fair chance, the arms and dt will prove friendly and funny for many.

I was a newbie in there once, and after a bit of nervous posting I was ok. Now I feel I was born there lol.

By the way, I had a free meal tonight, and wine. The best OS dinner ever! :p
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

sometimes, and it's easily done, there becomes a "blur" mode - we all become so complaisant with OS that it is easy to believe that anything goes.

What is not condoneable would be any indication of (perceived) spitefulness and, just as the person perceiving any element of spitefulness must be given due respect, so should the potential that it *could* exist.

Ultimately, the bottom line seems to be - post where *most* appropriate, coupled with respect for the poster!!!!!

Yes, the Arms and Discussion Thread are most valuable resources (respect!).

OS daily thread is there to motivate, support and encourage those who wish to discuss their *OS* kinda day.

Interestingly, due to the content of some of the OS threads, I often wonder if we should have a "Therapy Room" ... a platform for just "offloading" woes of the day/posting encouragement/motivational threads? Now, that *could* be interpreted by some as being a place for The Arms - yet, like it or lump it, not everyone is comfortable in that environment; some are not comfortable with that in OS!!!!

Here's a vote for Agony Aunt/Positive Strokes thread :D:D:D:D:D (Ok, hang me for the suggestion! :rotfl: But by golly, it might save an enormous amount of server space and ruffled feathers! ;) )

    PS:
I only wish I had enough hours in the day to read OS + The Arms + Discussion Thread + Grabbit + I wanna + Utilities + DFW + Freebies + Celebrations & Other Occasions + Silver Surfers + photo's & one liners + Agony Aunt Central + This is what I want to yabber about today + this is what's on my mind today + I really want to support you and empathise but my life is crud today too + oh heck-I-can't-remember-coz-I'm-cream-crackered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really hope that tomorrow brings a burst of sunshine, a dollop of empathy and an abundance of understanding minus any hint of accussation/recrimination and that everyone finds it in their heart to get on with being ....

... moneysavers, with a dash of humour, a glug of common sense and a degree of respect worthy of dignity!!!:o

Dear Lord, woman!!! Take the plunge where exactly!!!!?????

Ok, being serious for a mo (nooooooo, don't do it!!! "She says against her better judgement" ;) ) ... you are quite right! The Arms is a very refreshing (and, oh boy!, an enlighting!) place to be :D:D:D

I have enjoyed a few hilarious hours there (please, don't tell my estranged dh!!! :naughty: ) and have emerged quite unscathed. Ok, that was thanks to E'lass, Glad, Frizz and ... yes, our old fav., CQ. not to mention a tyrant by the name of Nablitz or sumsuch  Oh, God, wring it from my mouth, maybe even :shhh: Nels :shhh: plus a few other humourites (Nelly???? The "other" Q? ) and I'm sure GR frequents there too sumtimes ....

... basically, it's all about good ole fashioned "Horses for courses"!??

I've been on here FAR longer than I was meant to be tonight so I now cow-tow and shuddup :D:D:D

AMIE - sleep on it ... you know what I mean ;)
