  • Hi Everyone :hello:

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi, it's only my second time in here.

I have a busy day today, I'm working from home this morning while trying to do the cleaning and washing in my breaks. Then I'm going to work at lunchtime so the puppy can get used to being on her own for a few hours. She's generally a good girl, but is still only a baby (10 weeks) so can get really giddy  and as she's a German Shepherd, her little nips when she's playing can really hurt.

I'm on a big health kick so am being really good with my food at the moment and trying to burn at least 400 carories a day through exercise. I'm rapidly running out of tasty food ideas though, anyone know if there is a losing weight/diet section around?

Right better go, the puppy is climbing on the settee

    Good Morning All

Not sure what the weather is doing today - fingers x'd its nice again.

Trying to keep upbeat bearing in mind, cant use the dining room as it has my new kitchen in, have to squeeze round in the hallway and lounge as they have my old kitchen. Everywhere there is a fine layer of white dust and my kitchen is full of rubble. Today the builder is scraping the ceiling to add to the dust and rubble! I know it will nice when its done but Im sure you know what im feeling at the mo. Sometimes it would be nice to be so laid back & not care.

Plan of action for me today is - go out and buy some new rads with other half & order the tiles. When at home will be in my office as there really is nothing else to do. Arm should be ok for ironing now so when builder goes will try and locate the iron and do my small (for a change) pile.

Once again no idea whats for dinner - will be takeaway again oh and also need to wash up in the upstairs sink.

On the good side - am still blocked up but the cold feels a lot better.

Yorkshirechick - cant help you with the healthy eating at the moment- myself am not going to work out the calories in the numerous takeaways we are consuming at the moment.

(((hugs))) to anyone who needs them & have a great day.
  • Good Morning all,

Welcome Yorkshirechick - (wonder where you're from!!) Theres a great lose weight section in I wanna Do it, - Lose weight thread 11. There are lots of tips and recipes - its another friendly board, they will point you in the right direction for your queries - Good Luck!!

Amie, you are funny! (in a nice way lol!) Its a wonder you haven't been dreaming of kissing Shamu!!! I have a feeling I had the same dream as you, (a long while ago - cant believe I'm owning up to it!) or at least someone as ugly. Perhaps its just a way of saying we're happy with what we've got and could have done worse!!!!

    Congrats Scuzz!!!

Catowen - hope sleeping gets better soon for you and Kyle.

Mrs Mix - Yeah, feed them or they get a bit grumpy!!! (my lot do anyhow - cant see why!!)

Have a wonderful day all, I'm off back to wo*k - DD2 is feeling a bit brighter. We'll just wait for the results of the blood tests and then i'm going back to the docs to sort this out!

    Bye for now,
    bbxx

    Morning all

Well, I feel god awful today, coming down with something rotten, not quite man flu but not far off. Woke up at five with a splitting headache and couldn't get back to sleep, I'm now in work early so at least I can leave early.

Off down Tesco tonight for an 8-pack of sausages which I'll be eating over the next few days - saus, mash & beans tonight, saus sandwiches & risotto tommorrow... cheaper than chips, and the closest I've got to being OS :)
I am not really an Eskimo. I can hear what you're thinking... "Inuit!"
  • Welcome helonearth (like the user name!)

Essex- Girl - Try not to worry, if you keep trying to clean it up, the dust just appears again while its being sorted! so chill and look forward to a glass of wine in your new area soon!!!

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning!:hello:

I'm up early today  (for me that is) feeling much better for the rest, must now remember to pace, didn't get to go swimming yesterday as soooo tired!

This morning I already have a pan of hm soup on the go, it's organic box day so just had a clear out and made "bottom of fridge" soup. I have promised oh a nice dinner but no idea what so have to go explore the freezers. It will have to be something I can cook in the slow cooker so I can prepare it while I have the energy and then forget about it.

Had a fair bit of bad news again yesterday, two friends very ill now, sending cards and texts but feeling utterly useless really as this illness stops me from being able to fly around visiting. Trying to keep busy though (could explain the early morning soup making! )

(((Hugs)))) to Mrs Mix - hope you throw off that cold soon.

:T Well done Scuzz! How exciting!

Amie - I would rather not kiss either one of them!!!

Catowen - glad you slept a bit better

((((hugs)))) to all that need them

    Have a lovely day

    Catz x
