Off for a pint of Creme de Menthe as Alan Titchmarsh used to say.
Surely it was Tommy (with the lovely smile) who used to order the Creme de Menthe.

Crafty - you are right there - couldn't remember Tommy's name at the time :D

Anyway, for all OSers who wish to post pictures of letterboxes, talk about belly button fluff or ask where the nearest bus stop is to Alpha Centauri, here is the thread.

For those who wish to discuss washing and what they are cooking for dinner , please post here ......

Lovely pictures of your dog - so sorry you had to have him put to sleep. We had two old cats and the oldest, well, I - (I really couldn't help it) I accidentally reversed the car over him. He always used to sleep by the wheels of the car and I even told him that day that he was asking to get run over never thinking that I would be the one to do it. He was very old and wobbly and DS1 said I probably did him a favour but I loved that cat so much. This was about seven years ago and I still wish I'd just checked the car before I drove off like I usually did. I was in a hurry but, that's no excuse. I had to rush him to the vet who said that it would be kinder ........ My second cat just got old and arthritic and we had him put to sleep on vet's advice. It was a hard decision but he looked as though he had lost his spark and it wasn't fair to prolong the twilight years just for us. I've probably depressed some people now, haven't I? I didn't mean to, I promise.

Blimey, I know i am late posting but i cant believe how long this thread is now! Have had another busy day do allsorts. Just went to my Daughters (7 and 8) school play and i had a real job not crying. My throat was constricting and I found it very emotional. The play finished at 2-15 so i popped home for a quick cuppa before i go back to pick them up at 3pm.I will have to go in a minute and might pop back later to read the posts. Do I sense some friction on here? Hope not as this is one thread i have always enjoyed. Back later, hugs to all. Love Elaine
