That's what you get for picking on it ;)

Seriously, those of you with phobias need to get a grip and get some help for them. In the UK, the worst a spider can give you is a nasty nip.

One weekend I was home alone OH had gone to see friends which also happened to be spider invasion weekend. He came home to find half a dozen up turned glasses with spiders trapped uderneath, I kindly passed him a price of card left him to flush them in the loo!

He could've just put them out the door. Not spider's fault you have an irrational fear of them.

Wolf spider. They're the best kind. I like the ones that are so big you can hear their footsteps. Unfortunately, so do the moggies.

But surely, your cats are protecting you from the eight (and six) legged marauders?

Shouldn't you be appreciating them even more than before?

    High five Jojo!

flushing is my only compromise, personally I'd rather he killed it, he'd rather put them out the door but i'm too paranoid that it'll just come back in.

There are loads of spiders out there anyway that could come in, the one you put outside isn't going to make any difference.

  • Buttonmoon - thanks for the heads up about your post.......

God bless the speedy scroll button!

My son is well trained in the art of spider catching. If he sees one on the floor it's "Mum, feet" and up they go.

He's a bit gross and likes to look at the squashage on the tissue until once he dropped one and off it ran (minus a couple of legs) - I was irate and he got it both barrels! He's never done it again. He's really quite disgusting when it comes to bugs - he once swiped a dying bluebottle and squashed it in a hanky - he said it felt like popping a jellybean!
