Credit Card Challenge Anyone?

Comments

  • Hi Everyone. This is my first post and I would really like to join this challenge.
I have £5229.88 on my credit card and was planning on really hitting it this month anyway as this will be my last full pay day now I am on maternity leave. I could maybe manage to pay most of my wages towards it if I tryed really hard as it will be our last chance to do it. It would also be good practice for living on one wage for a while. (although I will be getting SMP).
My goal would just be to get the balance down as low as possible before the end of the challenge and before the baby is born. I am expecting an extra £500 bonus this month and have lots of items that I could ebay, especially with the extra time on my hands now I am off work....here goes !

    Debt-free and Proud!
I'd like to join in too please - my overdraft is around the £1000 mark (went a bit over this month oops) so will post exact figure that I've got to clear when I can check my internet banking.

I've decided that I hate my overdraft as I never feel like any of the money there is my own! This will be a brilliant way to motivate me to get it knocked on the head once & for all!

Edited to add: just checked my internet banking and oops! doesn't quite cover it - my target was to be at £900 OD only this month, and I'm actually £1060.95 OD
Total Debt 13th Sept 2006 (exc student loan): £6240.06

Oooh I like a good challenge, I have an overdraft which doesn't seem to go away and I want to get rid. I've switched current accounts now but left my OD where it is so all I need to do is pay it off.

The current balance stands at £1444.35 and i've just transferred £200.00 today as I got paid and budgeted for this.

I should be receiving £285.00 from an old regular savers account soon and I have just reclaimed my ppi from a loan of £200.00 (just waiting for the cheque to clear) so with any luck thats nearly half of it gone.

now what can I find to ebay.......

    CC debt at 8/7/13 - £12,186.17
    Barclaycard £11,027.58
    Halifax £1,158.59

    What a bargain at 50p!!

I'm all motivated already and spent my evening sorting out ebay stuff, taking pics and getting listings written up in turbo lister ready to go at an appropriate time :)

    Bring on tomorrow! :j
