Woah that's some luck you have Emily!
Got paid from mystery shopping and mum's expenses today so that's another £100 to chuck at the debts :jNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
I've managed to sell the watch for £110 and £10 worth of stamps (don't ask!) and I've also just got another mystery shop worth £8.0

Thanks for the welcome!
How does the AQA thing work - are you "on call" or do they send you specific questions or what...? Looked at the website but they don't seem to be recruiting.:j0 -
Oooh, Mrs A you have almost the same amount to pay on your card as I do!
Well I have got an application form from the Hotel near me but apparently they are not recruiting at the mo. Might have to try the local supermarket. However, on the plus side I have sent off for a copy of my credit record and closed 2 old credit card accounts, one of which has been in credit at £3.52 for ages and ages!
I've been busily signing up for online surveys and competitions, and have even managed to start digging out things to e-bay!
Even if I don't clear much of this by the end of May, I hope to have paved the way to clearing it a lot quicker than I had expected.

Hi everyone
Must admit the kids being off school slowed down my progress as to how much time I could devote to the challenge but I have still been busy listing books and being careful with the pennies. I had a bootsale last weekend and did not do that good. I made 28.00, the notes and £1 coins went in my purse and saved me pulling out money from the bank and the change went in my piggy bank. I hope to do a few more bootsales before the challenge ends and count up my change and bank that towards this challenge too. Anybody got ideas on good sellers at bootsales? I used to do quite well with bootsales but it seems that my sales have gone a bit flat for me.
On the plus side I paid off £100. today from my book sales from Amazon.
Well done to all those who are doing well.
Looking forward to the kids going back to school so I can get stuck in again.

Well done everyone! :j
Ebay was pretty good for me last week, plus the money the other half owed me and I had a sale on Saturday and took £25, not a huge amount but every little helps
Haven't paid it off the card yet and I'm not counting it until I do, I feel I've ended up at a bit of a standstill since the OH came home  but am preparing for the ebay 10p listing day on Thursday.
Not heard back about the job yet either, so I'm sending away a couple more application forms for others that have come up0 -

Well, I listed a load of DVDs on Ebay yesterday and already have 1 bid :j so quite happy.
As I've not got internet at home listing stuff is quite difficult, so I was wondering whether to try to get a load together to do a car boot instead, but I've never done one before.
Anyone with car boot experience out there? I'm after knowing what sort of stuff sells well, how much you can charge, what the site fees tend to be etc etc Perhaps I'll look in the paper to see if there's one this weekend so I can go do some 'research'Total Debt 13th Sept 2006 (exc student loan): £6240.06
