I believe the £100 are only payable on claims over £1,500, but someone correct me if I am wrong.

£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH

You'll find a link to court costs in the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature.
  • Hope someone can help, in the process of reclaiming from Abbey, just received a court date and another bill for £100.00, Court Allocation fee, is this correct or should I call the courts??!!!! Help, its getting a bit scary now I've actually got a date and a list of things to bring,,,,,,,,,
  • Hi there I'm new to your site and am in the process of claiming back my bank charges. can anyone help me with the court costs. In your guide in step 5 it says that there is a fee of between £30 and £120, depending on the size of your claim.
My claim is under 5K before adding interest but over 5K when the interest is added.
Are the court costs calculated before or after adding the interest.
I have been looking at a document I found on the Courts website and that says "The fee you will have to pay to the court will depend on the amount you are claiming, including interest".
Has anyone experienced these charges and does it look as if I am going to be paying £250.

    :confused::confused::confused:

    Hi all.

After sending my second letter 7 days ago stating that i insist on a reply within 7 days, I am not prepared to wait any longer.

I have had so much !!!!!! from HSBC over the years, at last I can legally tell them to pay me back!

How much does filing a claim through MCOL cost? Is this the best method?

The whole 'What to do when they ignore you' area is very grey, can anyone shed some light?

    Many Thanks

If i were to make a claim through MCOL against the Bank how do they determine how much going to court is, i think someone previous put between £20-£120 to start a claim.

If you lose will this be the only money you pay or do you pay extra???

    just a bit unsure???

Information on MCOL fees is here:

and the MCOL FAQ is here:

So long as you follow the reclaiming process you will not lose. Take a look through the Success Thread for some moral support. Ask on the forum for any help you need as you go along and if there is anything you dont understand. Good luck :)

Hi I gone through all the letters and now using moneyclaim online to submit court action but it is asking now for £120 fee for submitting this claim. There is no way I can afford this at present even though hopefully you get it back. Is there any way to proceed without this fee. Any help thanks

If you are receiving benefits you can apply for fee exemption although you would have to do this at your local county court not MCOL.

Other option is to contact the Financial Ombudsman who will look into it for you. But have a look into this first.

    GOOD LUCK
