I have to say I am kind of glad RTL haas gone
Roger did come back yesterday; had lunch and a shower, tidied up some mown grass, took Daft Dogs for a short walk, then left again.
Due back here this evening (if he keeps his word).
Oh, and he's not keen on going private (suspect he's thinking his dosh can further his new interest).
I have slept most of the time that DDogs and I have been alone over the last couple of days.. Must have been more exhausted than I'd realised!0 -
Hum, RTL thinks an interest is more important than his mental well being. Guess he will put up and shut up with the public health option then with good grace .......
I do hope the interest is to dangerous for him! Or you!
Glad you are sleeping, you need this down time to recover. Don't worry about it.Start info Dec11

Hello Diary and Dear Friends, :hello:
Internet connection is emulating the most notable features** of a gastropod atm, which has ended Robin's good intentions of catching up with Dear Friends' Diaries.
(**Bar one - no slime evident!).
It's a bit more peaceful in the Nest today; RTL is complaining his meds have slowed him down too much to think properly, but at least he's agreeable company (his new interest is beyond reach for a while).
CD has taken him for a walk so had better make the most of my free time - check bank balances and pay a few bills (deep joy).
Later on Roger has promised to dig a new vegetable bed, while I carry on with the weeding. It's getting quite hard to spot some of the younger fruit trees; don't want them to get strangled by burgeoning [admittedly beautiful] purple creepers. :cool:0 -
Hello Diary,
Hmmph to good intentions (re-reading m' post above).
No, the new veg bed didn't get dug. RTL has been sleeping a lot, and sloping off regularly when he was awake. I noticed that his 'phone was ringing at least once an hour while he was in my company - turns out the 'new interest' has not left the picture, as R had promised.
Tried to talk to him calmly about it; how he'd already 'lost' a week of recovery time by putting all his energy into something that was so patently bad for him, and by lying about it he was showing a distinct lack of respect to me. Making a mockery of my attempts to help him - wasting the time that I should have been putting into organising my own life.
He exploded. His barrage of screaming and shouting worried CD so much that she planted herself between us, very much 'on guard'. Don't think R even noticed, as he flung stuff around before grabbing his meds and flouncing off, saying he'd find himself somewhere else to live.
I alerted the closest El Divo, who came down to find R and take him away for a while. Don't know what DS said to R, but a brief apology by text message arrived within the hour.
The experience left me in a very peculiar mood; upset and angry. For a while, was quite unable to appreciate the glorious spring day that we were blessed with yesterday.
Wow - for the record must interrupt this narrative to note that right now we are beneath a thundering hail storm; can see lumps of ice on the lawn which are almost a centimetre in diameter!
..How very unusual especially at this altitude and so late in the year. It's lying; after fifteen minutes the green is turning white while yet more hail hammers down onto the roof. Feels like the temperature has dropped five degrees in the last half hour (damn - have no usable firewood left if it doesn't warm up before this evening - yes it's another thing I asked Roger to do for me, and no he didn't get around to it).
It was most fortuitous that I listened to PC's voice inside my head yesterday, and [as he would never fail to do] put away the tools when it got too dark to see.
Because I did manage to turn my upset with Roger into something positive, by clearing paths and liberating the young trees from strangling [STRIKE]weeds[/STRIKE] wild plants; it ended up being a very productive afternoon with the strimmer.
Having also given the lawn a more even, shorter trim I was hoping that The Good Lord would water it to prompt some soft new growth before hot summer sun frazzles the grass - didn't expect a hail storm, though!
PC felt very close, yesterday. Sometimes missing him becomes so intense that it is actually physically painful.
PC did not like Roger very much; said he takes advantage - which is true, but it's because of R's MH problem rather than a fault of character. As a good Buddhist PC accepted this and was supportive - reckoned his own feelings were down to the typical Aspie discomfort with anything disordered.
Ha - hence PC always put away his tools and tidied up before 'finishing' a job - am so glad I 'listened' to him yesterday because the electrical gear would have been ruined if I'd left it ready for my next battle with the undergrowth.
Can't say it wasn't tempting to leave the stuff down in the lower garden; strimmer et al weighs a lot and the path is steep; uses too much energy for me to carry heavy loads without good reason.
Paying for the exertion today with very sore muscles, as expected.
Worked out something very odd was happening to m'internet connection; it was trying to use the wrong network - how can that happen? Re-loaded everything then it kept asking for a password for the other provider.. Have sorted it out now; actually am quite proud of m'self for doing so without help.0 -
I'm so sorry to hear of your continued difficulties with RTL
. I'm glad to hear of his apologies but I hope he means them! MH is so hard to deal with from either side of the fence!
I'm sure PC does converse with you regularly, the tools story being very much a part of that theory. I'm also sorry to hear how much it's hurting that he isn't physically with you any more. Big hugs from me Xx
Well done for sorting out the internet too! :TDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Back again.
..Picking a few broad beans for a visitor was exhausting, although it was sheer joy to be outside where all the multi-coloured flowers glittered like bright jewels after their wash - amazingly, very few were battered by the hail, although the broad bean plants didn't fare so well.
..Could be time to collect the rest of the harvest (after a reviving cuppa tea
)?
The dark winter clouds have been blown away to the East and sunshine has returned; birds are celebrating with a cheerful chorus. Visitor commented how lovely it is; a happy contrast to the raucous mechanical noises which fill the city day and night.
..A gentle reminder of how lucky I am to be here, right now.please-let-me-be-lucky wrote: »I'm so sorry to hear of your continued difficulties with RTL. I'm glad to hear of his apologies but I hope he means them! MH is so hard to deal with from either side of the fence!
Indeed. Don't know whether R intends to return this evening - worrying about it, which is a shame as I should be enjoying this precious time alone - or doing something useful with it!please-let-me-be-lucky wrote: »I'm sure PC does converse with you regularly, the tools story being very much a part of that theory. ?? Hmm. Can't be sure. Maybe it's just my fancy because I know what PC would have said if he were here? In many ways I hope he's gone on, doing whatever useful task the universe has for those who've graduated from our Terrestrial kinder-garten? But it is comforting to think that when PC feels my yearning love, he looks down occasionally..
Thanks for the hugs Lucky; here are some (((hugs))) for you too - hope your day improves!0 -
Oh Robin, easier said than done I know but worrying about RTL is doing neither of you favours. What about a time cut off e.g. unless you call / text before 3pm I will assume you are (NOT) coming home. Does depend whether you want the default to be coming home or not really?
I like that "terrestrial kindergarten" as long as it means (switch on mental 3 year old voice here) I don't ever get to be a growed up and so do icky things growed ups do. (and now turn of three year old voice please)
Complete fantasy as I am here with my nose firmly on the grindstone of commerce doing the "another day, another dollar another doggy biscuit" routine but hey I can dream.Start info Dec11

Hhhello Diary and MSE Fffriends, :hello:
Ok, who has got my weather please? I've got Norway's, or possibly Siberia's. Happy to send it back right now - am freezing!
Leaden clouds loom dark above mountain tops laden with snow, and there is an expectant hush over the countryside. Even our trusty male song-thrush is quiet today.
Last night Daft Dogs and I could see our breath - inside the house  - so made a foray to the wood-shed by torchlight and managed to find a couple of lumps of wood that only needed a bit of hammering to fit in the stove.
Today's physical task is to take the bow-saw to a few more logs which I might be able get through.. If not will be in bed long before dark looking forward to a "two-dog night"** :rotfl:
**An old mushing term - indicating the number of dogs required as blankets to stave off the Arctic cold (love it!).
Oh, here comes the rain - will be falling as snow higher up - being positive it means another NSD.
..Not that I feel up to driving today anyway.
Have heard from a third party that Roger is intending to return again; obviously thinks his txt message apology sufficient for all to be forgiven and forgotten.
..Am gonna hafta work on that one. :think:0 -
Ah sorry, thermostat been turned down here too, all part of global austerity dontcha know?
Yep, time to talk to RTL he needs to do the face to face bit here .....
Hope you can get the wood into small enough bits for the fire, am a bit concerned about you inadvertently setting the Nest on fire with a larger chunk!Start info Dec11
