Ah, well. Alas, campo natives can get away with stuff that furriners cannot: Where houses are unregistered, it's not uncommon for relatives to omit notifying changes of ownership caused by death. If they wait long enough, the taxes due simply evaporate.. (This loophole won't last much longer).

On more than one occasion we've had to ask the local village mayor for a sealed certificate stating that [Sr SoandSo] is defunct and [Master SoandSo] is his son/beneficiary and entitled to sell his house.. Such a certificate is required to complete the sale/purchase.

Would love to join you and raise a small Baileys, but tomorrow am going to see someone who hopefully does deal with the more complicated affairs of foreigners.
..So tea it is then. :) Cheers! ;)

Awww.. And they won't walk together - I take m'hat off to you missus; would have trouble coping with that. :o

This bug has left me with two wake/sleep cycles per day. Very odd.

Hello Diary and MSE Friends, :hello:

No problem, you had a good excuse and I understood. ;) ..Hope you've not got a bad head today though, as that would not help with what you've got on.. :(

    Ha! No, complete failure! :(

Communication is a real problem at the moment. The chip in my Spanish 'phone has been 'rejected' - no idea why as there's plenty of credit on it. DS lost the chip for my UK 'phone (which has even more credit on it). Skype won't work - I get about one word in ten.
So I can email, or shout into the wind. Am terrified that the internet will also go down - so posting now [despite lack of progress] in case it does refuse to connect later.

Can't explain why this has stopped me going out, but it has.

Also just realised that none of my youngsters will be about this weekend. They're all going to a party, but it's miles away so they're staying over then heading straight back to the city/work.

This is significant because 'Phone company shops here are notoriously [STRIKE]difficult[/STRIKE] frustrating to deal with - the boys usually get a much better result than I do because:
    A) They are all handsome young men, as opposed to an odd windswept foreign woman whose clothes are covered in dog hair..
    B) They speak Spanish like natives; educated caballeros who don't expect to be messed around. ;)
..Am already waiting for one of my DS's to find time to challenge the internet provider who has erroneously given me a 'phone contract - which costs an extra £7pcm. I've tried twice and got no-where

To cap it all, Sr. Apiarist has been to check his bees. As he was leaving I went to say 'Hi' as usual, but one look at his face and demeanour changed my mind; the man is broken today. I counted at least a dozen open, empty hives in the back of his truck - that's half his bees lost since his last visit six weeks ago.. :( ..Which is symptomatic of an emerging global disaster for us all. :(:(:(

Hello 'Dina, welcome to my diary. :) May I ask why you decided to quote this sentence, but not comment?

Very hard to believe it has been seven months since that sad day..

My dear Robin, how lovely of you to think of me and DD2. We are all still upset but coping. Your sons sound gorgeous - I am visualising them as El Divo! How's your planned trip to Blighty coming along? I too wouldn't stay long. it's pants here. Hope you can stay connected to us over the weekend, hate the thought of you being alone and isolated.

    Hi Robin

I, too, was puzzled by Edina's post. So much so that I checked what other forums s/he had been on. S/he was new to MSE yesterday, so perhaps s/he hasn't got the hang of quoting/commenting yet? That's the charitable posit, the uncharitable one is that it was a horrid troll?

Hope it didn't upset you my dear.

    Toodle pip x
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

    Mmm, me too..

Satchmo, thanks - I hope Edina returns to share this journey; don't think he is a troll! (No, wasn't upset - takes more than that, lol ;)).

Right. Back to bed again - am going to have to do something about this weird sleep-cycle.
