Begging your pardon Mistress Mara, but I will not! ..You is forgetting that I's a lady-dog - I always squat so trees are safe from me! ;)

Dear Clever Dog, I do apologise for even thinking you might be as uncouth as to pee on the tree. I should have realised that one as educated as yourself would not demean herself by watering the topiery ! Forgive me :D

Hello Diary and MSE Friends, :hello:

 I'd really like to know how closely his DIL is tied to Mr.P.Chap .............. She's sent another email - coward that I am, have not looked at it yet.

The email was requesting a meeting yesterday morning. :o

Have done a bit of digging; DIL is registered as a solicitor in Mr.P.Chap's own company, and her speciality is personal injury claims..
So thanks for encouraging me to be cautious, Chev and Missrlr - will be making the effort to get to the other lawyer's office next week (weather / health permitting).

PC and I were successful with our other digging yesterday; New-Pine-Two looks great in it's permanent home, though is twice the height of it's five companions. :)
Now where shall I put the others? ..This question brings up Item One on PC's Capital Improvements List - an automated irrigation system for the garden. Will be pricey - but could be a good idea to empty my Spanish a/c as there are rumours of a possible Cyprus-style grab going around the ex-pat community.

Will put visiting the Irrigation-shop on m' List for next visit to town, also Local Lawyer Lady. With our obligatory trot along the beach that will probably be enough - still have major issues with energy levels even for my lower than normal expectations after that ruddy lurgi (odd fevers, sinusitis and muscle pains continue, not to mention needing to sleep after every physical activity - which results in being awake at stupid-o'clock during the night).
    So it goes. :o

Right, the wind is getting up and storm clouds are boiling behind the mountains, but we've still got sunshine here so am off to consign another batch of weeds to the compost heap. ;)

Mara you did it again, I am chuckling away to myself........of course CD is a lady, she is far too intelligent to be anything else lol.

Rubbish weather forecast here again sigh, I would stay were you are for as long as you can, Robin, it has to be warmer there than it is in Blighty just now.

Thank you for the apology, Mistress Mara. I am glad we understands each other now. :)

Hello Diary and Dear Friends, :hello:

Much to our surprise Daft Dogs and I awoke to bright sunshine and birdsong this morning; last night's storm has blown away already. So despite feeling very creaky after yesterday's exertions am determined to carry on pulling weeds while the ground is still wet. :)

Yes I could have gone out today but really don't feel up to discussing PC's affairs in Spanish - made a stupid mistake last night by eating two squares of dark chocolate, so now have a self-inflicted thick head. One day I will learn! :o Meanwhile it'll be another NSD which is a positive thought. :)

One of these days, ladies, we should meet up before us lot who are at the absolute peak of our fifty something loveliness become to old to contemplate it. Actually, this will never happen to me as I shall, when I am old, have a large motorbike and will seek you all out and come for a visit on my monster machine - you have been warned!!

:rotfl: What a wonderful picture you evoke, Dot! ..And memories; frozen toes, fingers and nose, and the internal juddering that doesn't stop after a long ride until one's found a pub and spent ten minutes divesting oneself of one's many layers of essential protective clothing - not an easy task when one's fingers have metamorphosised into prime pork sausages.. :o
Tell you what, Daft Dogs and I will follow on in the support van; providing tea and a lift when the excitement of hurtling along on two wheels, exposed to the elements* begins to pall (*the most important of which is the dangerously hard ground whizzing past, scant inches beneath your toes!).

Yes it's definitely warmer here in the daytime at least, so am doing m'best to postpone this trip until after Easter (when ticket prices will hopefully be less extortionate).

Oh no - sunshine has gone, the next wave of clouds have arrived. Time to get outside while I can; try and clear m'ruddy headache with fresh air. :)
  • Mmmm dark chocolate! LOVE it! But generally can't eat loads in one go :o (which maybe isn't a bad thing!! ;))

Hello Dear Robin, sorry you found yourself in a bit of a fog earlier this week but it seems that may have lifted now, which is good.

Dear dear Dot I am fairly certain DGD does not think of you as boring Granny, more stable, loving, always be there for me Granny and as such she can be honest with you. They get quite clingy to their mums at her age, it'll pass and I can pretty much guarantee, in her hours of need, it'll be you she turns to.

Dear Chev, so sorry to hear of your losses.

    Love and hugs to all

Harummph; it didn't take those clouds very long to arrive and make the day soggy - good job we didn't go out after all! :D

During our half hour outside, CD pointed out a visitor on the hill beyond the garden; a stray palomino Shetland pony - quite un-fazed by the rain he's munching away on the burgeoning herbage. Will keep an eye on him and suppose had better collect him if his owner hasn't turned up within a couple of hours, as I bet he's not used to such rich fodder. Oh for a working 'phone on which to call the bar where Owner's Dad is probably enjoying a beer right now. :o
Mmmm dark chocolate! LOVE it! But generally can't eat loads in one go :o (which maybe isn't a bad thing!! ;))

..Thought I'd discovered a great way of making one small bar last at least a couple of weeks, by grating it and sprinkling on some rusky-biscuits (loads of munch and crunch but very little substance - reckoned I could fool myself with 'em on fast days ;)). The reality is that they are so delicious I ate three last night for pudding, which turns out to be too much dark choc in one go (two squares is a guess, as it's all powdered :p).
...and you're not an author because why exactly?! ;)

 1) Probably spending too much time here. :o
    2) Very hard to get paid. Still, would like to discover and relate the soldier's story whether or not it would be a money-spinner (need to collect the medals/letters to make progress with that project).
    3) Lack of confidence atm?
Hope the headache clears soon! :)

So do I! Getting cold rain on it helped though. :)
