Mr Probate needs to be refocused on PROBATE MATTERS or he can sling his hook. Surely if he does a good job on that you can consider the rest? Unless there is a compelling reason for it probate reasons

Hello Diary and Dear Friends, :hello:

Thank you everyone for all your comments; can't reply sensibly to all atm as am still fuzzy-headed.

It's official: I have the current bug [would rather have a current bun?]. Fever, aching, light-headed and headachy, even more enervated than usual.

Nevertheless, MrsPG inspired me to spend an hour tackling paperwork, which doubled due to 'phone-calls. One more to make but have run out of puff, so thought had better sign on here briefly before giving in to horizontality for a while. :o

..Just in case anyone is worrying that Daft Dogs and I might have been washed away. All is secure and snug in the Nest, thank goodness, but more rain is due and the river is raging; a constant low rumbling in the background.

Daft Dogs are happy. They had the last of the Gruyere cheese sauce with their lunch. :)

    Good morning Everyone, :hello:

Am taking the unusual step of logging on first thing in the morning today; while cognitive powers are still available. :o This bug is a Lulu. Or possibly a Beatrice - one unholy diva anyway.

Those who care will be relieved to hear it is relaxing it's grip. With any luck [if improving pattern continues] I'll get two or three hours before fever and exhaustion cut in again - yesterday used that time to complete some research into Probate Chappie's claims, and then compose a missif declining his services.
While doing so I noticed that his proposal for the unnecessary work he wanted to do on my UK affairs included an advance bill for almost a grand - which he wanted paying by yesterday..

He really was having a laugh.

DS and DGD called in briefly last night, to collect the keys for PC's cottages. It seemed a better idea for them to stay there this weekend rather than risking either of 'em picking up this lurgi by staying here. No kissing or hugging - that felt so odd - but lovely to see DGD even just for a few minutes.

DS obviously wanted to check that I'm not about to starve - store cupboard shows that is not a problem; have been able to consume very little this week so am hoping the scales will reveal a definite positive [lower weight] tomorrow. :)

Daft Dogs are being very good, especially considering that they haven't had a proper walk for days. FD thinks she can lick me better, and CD is sticking to my side like glue; bless 'em both. :)
  • Glad to hear that
    1) you are getting better
    2) you are declining dodgy guy's services
    3) you got to see DGD, if only for a short while
    4) Daft dogs are looking after you.

Lots of positives despite being poorly :D

    Look after yourself Xx

Yes you are right. :) Doesn't it help make life easier to run through them every so often? ;)

Hello Dragon, lovely to see you "visiting" and thank you - and to everyone who posted earlier - for your well-wishes. :)

How are you getting on, Dragon? ((hugs)) ..Have any significant test results come back yet? Am keeping you and MrD [and Dragon-Hound] in my thoughts; sending positive vibes.. :)

Am back to square one with PC's Spanish Probate of course. Not up to thinking about it today - time to get into the garden for a while between showers. Who knows, maybe there will be tender young broad beans to provide a nourishing [low calorie] supper? :)

No test results yet (the fact that they have mucked me around big time with appointments and I have had to do all the chasing for tests I don't even want to have makes me :mad::mad:)

Dr Dragon is not happy about the appointments (07.45 hours Monday morning anyone? oh and it will takes us 45 mins to get there :eek:), Furry Dragon is, however, enjoying the fire being lit :rotfl:
