My reasons for suggesting the e messages to the bank is that you then have a RECORD of what they say, and don't have to remember what was said, or to rely on them finding the recording if things go wrong.

:j:j:j:j to CD going with you yippee. Just make sure you have done all of her check ups/ got her medicine (and yours for that matter unless cheaper in the uk) before you leave to save money.

    Hi again [;)] Missrlr, :hello:

Fiscal stuff can be sorted and amendments made, might dent your credit record but these things happen. I am sure this can be sorted with some emails and a request for them to call you .......

Been trying to sort it out this morning. :o
Am surrounded by technology.. Dug out PC's laptop which was originally paired with the [only working] printer - whoopie - it has the scanner icon installed! :D
But it doesn't recognise the internet dongle - which is annoying but quite interesting, because am certain DS3 has used it on this connection just before he left, when he was downloading music.
 Suppose the next stage is to find a memory stick, scan stuff onto that via PC's lappy, then transmit from mine?

It is raining cats and dogs over here. So Wellies might be more appropriate but Scotland has snow.

Woe, oh woe. Not just wellies but full waterproofs, eh? On the list.
Dismayed to hear snow has already arrived in Scotland, it won't be long before icy roads are country-wide. :o

This brings up another dilemma; van isn't so good in winter driving conditions unless fully laden, which is rare given the way I use it.
Maybe the time has come to consider an up-grade?

MrGoogle can only locate one of m' preferred make and model for sale, semi-nuevo; in the UK. :o
Perhaps I should ask the local dealer?

<sigh> Although am averaging 25 NSDs a month, spendy days can be outrageously expensive. :(
Still, would get back a fair bit selling on current van; mechanically it's in good nik, and has the full quota of legal papers. Need to get bodywork tidied up first though - know just the fella to do it. ;)

Would rather you brought sun back with you if that is all the same!

Hmm, will do m' best of course, but we haven't got guaranteed sun here any more. Cloudy and still today - perfect for planting the rest of the potato chits, lol - but am determined to sort out sending off documents first.

Now about matters health ..... What can be done? You need to for everyone's sake to be on form. Please please take good care of you

Aww, thank you for caring (((hugs))). :)
Good news; no painkillers needed this morning, so presumably the anti-migraine supplements have kicked in again. Now get out all the day's pills first thing; put them in a little pot on m' desk. Hopefully will remember to take one or two every time I have a drink (some are timed, some just daily).

Having real problems eating enough though. According to MyF!tnessP@l body is in starvation mode; result 2.7kg gain over the last three weeks. :o

 Better get back to m' scanning task..
Apologies for failure to visit many other diaries recently; hope life is treating everyone kindly atm, will try and pop back later to catch up.. :)

    Good point. :p
To be fair, when that bank employee spouted a load of bunkum recently, his supervisor listened to the recording of the call then 'phoned me back very quickly, offering correct info and £££ compensation.
It would be a good idea to follow up all calls with a written summary; will try and do this, thanks. :)

    Another good point.
    <Quick check>
Oh dear. Time to move Little Girl's passport to the mementos drawer.. :(
CD had the expensive rabies jab last time, which is good until 2015. Must ask about her other inoculations; once a pet has had ten doses Dear Vet increases the interval, because the level of immunity lasts well over a year. Still, may be worth 'topping up' CD now, then a) can forget about it, and b) will be cheaper here.
Anti-tick/flea treatments are half price in the UK, but it's worth taking worming pills (2€ each; 'mates' rate' from DV, as opposed to £21 a go from local chemist at homehome ).
The pre-importation check has to be done within a very tight time frame, so we usually call in at another lovely vet's clinic for that, just up the road from port of departure.

Recalling a six week queue the last time I requested a consultation with my own GP (or two weeks to see a random doc at the surgery)..
Yes, will definitely call in at El Medico's clinic for a revision before leaving - thanks for the reminder; added to Town List. :T

    You are welcome Robin. :)
One of the things I love about this site is that you can pick other peoples brains to make sure you don't forget anything. Which is likely if you are stressed.

Thanks for popping in, Chev - how right you are! Together, our various experiences make up an amazing resource. :D
Plus, it's always useful to get an objective view when tussling with life's problems. ;)

For the last few days I have been prevaricating; occupied with several distraction activities, from redesigning a section of flood drains to concocting a short story based on DS4's first creative writing assignment.

CD ran out of chicken yesterday so we ventured down to the village. She wanted to come with me but it was really still too hot for her in the van; half an hour was enough of an ordeal, even though I left the windows wide open and she had a bowl of water.
She's fine, but it's increased my enthusiasm for upgrading vehicle - since being forced to remove the insulation that van just isn't the same.

Today I am remembering Mum and DD on their shared birthday. :A :A
