Meanwhile, the Nest has suffered a rash of minor mishaps; the shower/bath tap has malfunctioned, kettle stopped heating up, and the washing machine forgot how to drain water - why does the manufacturer always put the filter plug so close to the floor that it's impossible to get a container beneath it?

Having had very recent experience of a washing machine flooding the kitchen floor, and subsequent attempts to drain and repair it (DP not me) this comment so resonates with me, *Robin*. Unfortunately, our WM problem is terminal, but I still think that drainage plug is in a really stoopid place :D

Sorry to hear the black dog has bitten, but it's hardly surprising with all the negative elements atm. Here's hoping your RL dogs lick you back into shape pdq.

Just caught up with your diary Robin, so sorry to hear life is throwing curve balls at you at the moment. You really do sound like a fantastic Mother though. :A

I don't believe for a second DS2's GF doesn't know why she attempted to take her own life, especially if she has done it before. Lengthy talking is required there if their relationship is to move forward.

Glad you enjoyed the rain, when it hit my attic bedroom I thought the roof was going to cave in!

Sorry to hear about the GF. I have found that pills are often cries for help, not serious attempts. But even so it must be very hard on you all. I hope that she is getting good pschiatric help to help deal with whatever is causing her issues.
