    Today I need to:
Carry on with the WIP that is the laundry mountain
Finish unpacking and re-home stuff (or find homes for new things)
[STRIKE]Write a shopping list[/STRIKE] and drive to Lidl
Start cooking the meat from the freezer - the temperature is now below freezing, but not enough, so I'll cook the lot and then turn it off in the hope that it will recover. Best check with a few people if they have space in theirs.
    Check account balances and budget
Get DS1 to clean a few things in the kitchen from his pizza making session while we were away

Not sunny, bright or breezy here today, so the first lot of towels has gone in the TD and WM due to go on again in a minute. Sorted out the first lot of meat to be cooked, too. Shower and shopping next, when I've finished my cuppa.

    Hi all

Turfed the brats out in the garden as was sunny first thing here. Put the chicken on and did kitchen dailies then took them for feet measuring.

What a farce! We went for 10.30 hoping the mobs would think it didn't open till 11. It was already packed! Very little to choose from if you didn't want school shoes, DS has gone down a size (!), DD up another half a size () and then she had a meltdown when the fella tried to take off the sandals, as even the half size bigger weren't big enough.

So, DS is currently wearing shoes 2.5 sizes too big (I don't think so) and DD didn't get any either because a) she was a stroppy little git and b)she has sandals and trainers in a 7 already.

So, a waste of time, except we did go in pound stretcher and I got a new cover for my rotary airer for £1.49 :)

Back home, tots fed, and smallest one bundled into buggy for a nap. I think she was as relieved as me, tbh...

Bossy - did you get them measured at the same place last time? I found that different shops measure differently!!! I detest shoe shopping with a passion with my 2 lol.

I've hoovered some more and done more washing but I've had to have a nap as I've a headache caused by Aunti Flo trying to make a visit but not making her mind up as to whether or not she actually wants to stay - humph!

Its too hot to do anything at the moment and I've Avon to deliver - kids will help me with it later - for some unknown reason they love doing it.

    Helen,
Yes it was the same shop. He was basically telling me that DS who is 3 and a half, is the same shoe size as DD, who is not yet two.
So, no purchases today. Actually, I do have a foot gauge somewhere from vertbaudet so I might dig that out and check them myself when they are being more co-operative.

Bossy.. pull out the insole of the shoe and see where their toes are in relation to that.. or put a sprinkle of talc in and see where the toes come to after they have worn them 5 minutes.. you should be able to get a finger in the top of the foot to the toes and there should be about the depth of your thumb in growing room. I've had similar experiences with mine.. DS might have curled up his toes when they were measuring and if they used the machine it isn't accurate until about size 9 or 10 and stops being accurate at about size 2.. You are quite within your rights to request a different member of staff measuring them and they should have every pair second checked by another member of staff.

Right.. clothes and Tesco... my life rocks!

Tesco bought and food away, fridges both scrubbed out.. I grabbed loads of bread at 30p a loaf.. should keep us going a while!

Boys room had all washing collected and 1 load done already.

Everyone fed and OH can do pj's while I sort the baby's clothes. I want to fill a couple of stacking boxes with bears for the lost and I may buy more for other stuff.
