Sammy Kaye - (((hugs))) to all concerned. Weeks like that are the pits. Kind of puts everything else into perspective.
I think we could all do do with some happy vibes.
My flylady wings have been resting today - done b****r all . . . and I'm still tired!0 -
Hi all! Today has been gorgeous here - I did my shopping and a load of washing that dried beautifully outside, then decided I ought to do something out and about as I have a tendency to hide indoors
so I went on a free 'Dickens' walk for an hour and a half around Old Portsmouth. Mind you, I want to sleep now.
Spent Thursday at Gilbert White's House and the Oates exhibition with my dad which was great but that meant I just wanted to sleep yesterdayHmmm, I see a pattern here!
Anyway, a good dose of history for me over the last few days - I do like history. However, not a lot of flying - ooops!
I have a free day tomorrow though so am hoping some of you may be around for a HHC or 2 (or more!!) as I tackle my bedroom!
pigpen - so pleased to hear Samuel is homefingers crossed that the other babies are ok x
sammy - thoughts and prayers for you and the other mums xx"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

So sorry about your news, Sammy. There is no loss like a mother losing her child
I have only done the dailies here, and a bedding wash. And dug up the last of the spuds. Tots are currently prancing about in tutus, both had a late nap, are full of beans, and it's not looking like bedtime yet.
The plus side of that is no bedtime cbeebies, no iggle piggle tonight!
They both ate their dinner nicely, and the icecream van turned up just after (normally he shows up just as I'm serving up, which saves me loads, lol) so they've both had a 99. This is dd's first. She's had lollies and stuff, but never a proper ice cream from the van. She was as giddy as a squirrel in a nut tree, lol. Life is a lot easier with dairy in it haha.
Tomorrow got more bedding to wash, bit of a Hoover upstairs, and take them for feet measuring. DS is getting bits of rubbed up skin on his feet and picking at it, and I'm wondering if it's his shoes...Bossymoo

Hugs to Sammy Kaye.
My littley dog is a Westie, a real little character.
Today, get out the flags, I have completed everything that I woke up intending to do.
Off to read the paper and do that relaxing thing.
We have four westies in our family - two old boys and two girls. I love them to bits and they make my life worth living :A
Sammy - so sorry for your friends xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Yes, he doesn't seem bothered by it, but I gathered his feet might be growing at last. He's gone up only half a size since November, his little sis gone up 2.5 sizes
I seem to remember he did this last year, he was a 6.5 for aaages then all of a sudden an 8Bossymoo

Evening all
I can't begin to imagine how your friend feels, sammy, or you and your OH's ex. Thinking of you and sending hugs. x
Back from holiday this afternoon to find that our freezer is probably broken. First I suspected that DS1 had simply not closed the door properly (twice). I threw out what couldn't be rescued, returned the rest and cranked it up. I'm now checking every hour or so, but it doesn't seem to be getting any colder in there, although the temperature indicator says that it's cold enough.
I'll probably have to transfer any fresh meat to the fridge and cook it all tomorrow before scrounging freezer space from family and friends for the cooked food.
I was going to focus on unpacking and tidying, but other than getting tea ready and putting a couple of lots of laundry on, I've not done much else. Very frustrating.
Going to do a HHC tidying up in the kitchen, sorting some more laundry and hunting down the fridge thermometer so I can measure the temp more accurately.0
