  • Hi flyers

I haven't had a chance to post. Was at the hairdressers this morning and then went to the pay point to pick up my 15 pound duel fuel cashback thingy came home realised I need sawdust and dog food and had to go back out again. I've squared up the LR and scullery and stuck the WM on. I have just gave DS2 and DD their lunch and mines is cooking!
NN chapped the door to ask me if the new people the door after had a black and white cat said yes the wee thing had been run down outside so he had to break the news to her poor wee thing. Off to eat then I will try to make a dent in my list

  • Hi folks,

After asking your advice last week and getting such a helpful response I thought I'd report back on progress...

I'm on week 3 of flying again and feeling completely on top of the house. :D

This week I announced to my eldest 2 children that from now onwards I would like them to help with the house. I gave them a weekly print out of jobs and which days they are to do what working around their paid jobs.

The response was at first 'shock'!!! Especially from my eldest DS, but soon calmed as I went on to let them know about the new allowance system I was putting into place to allow them control of their spending on a budget. They are now working on the best strategies of saving money whilst still enjoying buying and socialising!!!! This will be great for them and even better for me as I have put the ball firmly in their court.:T

So yesterday was the first day of flying as a family, I came home from taking two exams at college to a hoovered downstairs and clean bathroom and downstairs loo/laundry, dog fed, dishwasher empty and draining board clear. Oh my oh my oh my, what a pleasure that moment was I could have bottled the feeling!

So thank you for your advice, it was greatly appreciated!
