    Morning All

We came back from 2 weeks in Lanzarote on Monday with DS2 with a temp of 43 and a severe case of tonsilitis. He is on the mend thankfully. 24 hours later the house looks like a small bomb has gone off in it and I wake up this morning with the beginnings of a sore throat, achy muscles etc

To top it off, we have a party for DS tomorrow and half the guests I don't have numbers for so no way of calling it off. Not that I want the upset from DS as he is so looking forward to it.

So I can't wallow and feel sorry for myself. I've put a DVD on for the kids hoping that will keep them quiet and I will have a cup of tea and start attacking the downstairs 15 minutes at a time.

Thank you so much for this thread. When I didn't know where to start, this is the first place I came :A

I will post updates here to keep me going.

Sprry I haven't had a chance to catch up with the thread. Welcome to all the newbies and hugs to all who need them.

Raining now so washing in and school trousers are stupidly wide. One step forward and two steps back today!

  • *slinks back in* ok so I've been a bit useless the last few weeks but had a long weekend at a festival (with a mad clean before going) so this weekend should se a lil progress :)

Oh wait, full day at the fringe on sat and he shower is till blue from dyeing my hair. Screw it, I'm going to see it as progress anyway.

OH is off his meds and becoming functional again, I got loads done before we went away and since I had to leave an hour after getting home the washing from being away isn't my responsibility. The end is in sight for this working away job too!

I can promise a week of happy posts and positive vibes being sent out to all flyers :)

Pigpen - I hope things seem better soon *hugs*
    Claire - good luck!
Bossy - *hugs* you're still getting loads done!
Dusty - hope your ok x

Hugs, sticks and spoons to all who need/want them

I have learned a valuable lesson today....that is, never attempt to sweep a chimney by yourself, it results in a mess of global proportions and black snot!:D
Oh Triker! I thought it was only me that did things like that - thank you for 'sharing' as they say.

Also a huge thank you to Fun Fair Princess, Mummy of 5 and Valli for sympathising about the towels yesterday. It took me all day to rewash and dry most of them. I had to use the tumble dryer in the end , and the last one finsihed drying overnight in the kitchen. The heavens have opened up again today and we are due for five days of unrelenting soggy skies and lightening so at least they are finished. (Yay for vinegar and soapnuts!)

I've Defragged and Disk Cleanuped this morning because the computer kept crashing and it was driving me insane. It took about an hour and a half and I daren't leave it because if I do, when I come back there is always a message that says 'Press here if you want to continue - if you started this you must continue'. I mean: What is that about?

I'm getting a bit carried away with polishing, having actually got the tin out on Monday to do as I was told. Three bits of furniture so far, and the banister rail - for the first time in 15 years. Half way down done so far, the rest to follow.

    Happy Flying!
    Better is good enough.
